"Crap, I'm gonna be late on the very first day." I muttered to myself as I quickly looked for my binders to put in my backpack. I should've done this last night.

I zipped my bag up and quickly ran out of the room. That's when I remembered that I didn't even know where the school was.

I ran back into my room and took out my laptop along with a slip of paper that my parents gave me with the school's address. They were at work, and told me that I needed to get the directions LAST NIGHT, which I completely forgot about.

I waited for my laptop to start up, and kept looking at the clock. It was 8:55, and the bell was supposed to ring at 9:10. I still had to get my schedule and locker from the office. Luckily, I can drive.

I quickly typed in the address and took down the directions. I closed the lid of my laptop and ran out of the room, making sure not to forget my bag.

I ran out of the house and locked the door with the key my parents had made for me. I ran down the steps and got into my car.

I put the key in and turned it. My car made that starting sound then stopped.

"What?" I said to myself, as I tried to start the car again...and again, and again.

"Really?! You pick TODAY to not work?!" I shouted. I tried one last time to start it, and it obviously didn't work. I got out of the car and slammed the door shut.

I looked at the time. 9:00. School started in 10 minutes. I was obviously gonna be late, because under the directions there was an estimated time of 5 minutes - by car.

"Hey there, neighbor." I looked to my side and saw Dylanstanding up and walking down his steps. He was sitting there the whole time watching me try and fail to get my car started.

I rolled my eyes, ignored him, and started on my walk.

"Need a ride?" He called after me.

"No." I called back, speeding up my walking pace. There was no way in hell that I'd get into a car with him. Not after what happened yesterday.

Soon enough, he was driving beside me, at a very slow pace. "Aw come on, it was just a kiss." He said.

I continued to ignore him.

"School starts in about 7 minutes, are you sure you

wanna be late on your very first day?" I stopped walking and looked at him. He had a point.

I let out a sigh of defeat and opened the door to the passenger seat. There was a huge smirk on his face, and I did my best not to slap it off.

We arrived at school and I quickly ran out, hoping to make it to the office and get my schedule in time. Dylan stepped out at the same time as I did, and all eyes were on us.

"Uh, thanks for the ride." I said, then quickly started walking towards the school.

"Wait up, you don't even know where the office is." He said. I folded my arms across my chest. I hated it when he had a point.

The two of us started walking towards the school, and all eyes were still on us.

Two guys walked up to Dylan, which caused the both of us to stop. One of them had a football in his hand.

"Dylan, whats up man?" The guy holding the football said, and they did that guy handshake thing.

"Who's this?" The other guy said, looking at me with a horny look on his face.
