Shadow's Change

Chapter 12

Sonic POV

   It takes us the whole day to finish the baby's room, but I'm happy with it. Tails and Knuckles really helped me, it would have taken much more time if I would have done it alone.

Tails and Knuckles go back homes as I go to Rouge's house to take Shadow. I hope he will like it...

   I just had to run 2 minutes to be at Rouge's front door, I knock and wait for her to open the door.

''Hello again, big blue~''Rouge said as she openned the door. ''Hi Rouge, I finished so I'm taking Shadow back home.'' She grins. ''Mister 'I'm not tired' is taking a nap now~, it's start to be a bit late for him.'' ''Hehe... Sorry Rouge, but now everything is perfect.'' She smiles. ''I'm glad, he is napping on the couch right now.'' I nod and go to her livingroom, finding Shadow sleeping peacefuly, with a hand on his belly, I smile and shake him gently. ''Wakes up, love~'' I hear him groans a bit and slowly opens his eyes. ''You're back...'' He says with a smile. I kiss his cheek gently. ''I finished the surprise, we can go back home.'' He nods and gets up, stretching himself gently. ''Goodbye Rouge.'' Shadow and I said together. ''Goodbye boys~ I'll come tomorrow to see the surprise too~'' I giggled. ''Alright, see ya!'' And we go back home.

   It takes us some time to go back home, I wanted to go easy to not hurt Shadow or our baby. Shadow often said that he is fine but I want to be careful.

''You want to see the room now? It's pretty late already.'' Shadow smiles at me. ''Of course I want to see it now. I'm sure it will be perfect.'' I smile happily. ''Alright then, come with me.'' I lead Shadow to the baby's room. ''Ready?'' He nods and I open the door.

The room is blue and white, with some kind of supply already there, like some toys and clothes, diapers and some other things. The baby's bed is white and red with some plush on it.

Shadow have tears in his eyes now. ''It's beautiful... Just perfect...'' He hugs me. ''I'm happy that you like it.'' He kisses me. ''And I'm sure our baby will like it as well.'' I smile happily. ''Let's go to bed, it's late.'' He nods and yawns, making me chuckles. We go to bed and falls asleep.

   2 months later

Shadow POV

   I'm tidying up the baby's room since Rouge have buy some clothes, I told her that it was too much but she just said that it was so cute so she buy it to me, at least she is happy.

I'm 6 months pregnant now, the baby is moving but I have the chance that he is calm, he seem to be more like me than Sonic. It make me giggles but I'm sure he will be like Sonic in some ways.

   Talking about Sonic, he is fighting Eggman right now. He seems to have some bad plan going on, he attacked a lot this week and this time I don't have Rouge with me. She is helping everyone with the fight, Sonic needed her help saying that there was too much robots.

   I suddenly hear a noise. It's weird, I'm alone right now. I wanted to see what it was until something grabs me by my neck and put something over my mouth and nose.

''Sleep well, Rodent.'' I know that voice!

I wanted to fight back but I felt dizzy and I lost consciousness... SONIC!!! HELP!!!
