Barry's POV:
I'm sitting at lunch with Cisco, Cynthia, Wally and Jessie. Two happy couples and me. Poor lonely pathetic fifth wheeling me. I guess I'll take advantage and ask them for their advice.

Barry: Hey guy's can I ask you something?

Cisco: What's up bro?

Barry: Do you guy's think I should ask Iris to Homecoming?

Jessie: Hell yeah! I can't figure out why you haven't asked her out period.

Wally: Seriously.

Barry: What do you mean?

Cisco: Dude everyone knows that you've been crushing on Iris since Pre-K

Barry: Pre-K really?

Jessie: Okay fourth grade.

Wally: Look dude just go for it.

Barry: What if she doesn't see me that way, what if me asking her ruins our friendship?

Wally: Dude you're Barry and Iris nothing can come between you two.

Just then Caitlin and Ronnie walks up and sits down.

Caitlin: What are we talking about?

Wally: Barry wants to ask Iris to Homecoming, but he's being a chicken about it.

Caitlin and Ronnie look at each other with a look of pitty on their faces.

Cisco: What's that look about?

Caitlin: (deep sigh) Ronnie and I just heard...

Caitlin stops talking and hangs her head.

Ronnie: We just heard Eddie Thawne ask her to Homecoming.

Jessie: Gosh I hate that guy.

Wally: I think it's safe to say we all hate that guy.

Cynthia: Not all of us.

Cisco: What does that mean?

Cynthia: (lying) Nothing.

Cisco: Come on babe spill it.

Cynthia: (deep sigh) Iris and Eddie went out last Friday.

Wally: (confused) Wait I thought she was with you last Friday Barry.

Barry: (confused) She was. We hung out until about midnight.

Cynthia: (awkwardly) Yea that was after her date. She picked you up after she left Eddie.

Cisco: (shocked) She double booked him?! That's cold.

Jessie: (attitude) Soooooo you knew that she was already seeing someone and you weren't gonna say anything? You were just gonna let us talk him into asking her out knowing it wasn't gonna go his way.

Cynthia: Come on that's not fair.

Iris walks up.

Iris: What's not fair?

Everyone looks up at Iris and says nothing to her.

Barry: (sad) I have to go. I'll see you guy's at the Diner later.

Wally: Hold on I'll walk out with you. I need to borrow your math notes.

Wally and I leave the lunch room.

Iris' POV:
Jessie, Ronnie, Caitlin, Cisco and Cynthia gets up and leaves the lunch room without saying a word to me. What the hell is going on? I sit down and about a minute later Cynthia walks up and sits down.

Cynthia: I'm sorry about that.

Iris: (confused/sad) What's going on Cyn?

Cynthia: They know about Eddie asking you to Homecoming...

Iris: (confused/shocked) How?! He literally just asked.

Cynthia: Ron and Cait heard him ask you, but that's not why they're upset. I mean it's part of it, bu...

Iris: (sad) You told them about my date with Eddie?

Cynthia: (sad) Yea. I'm so sorry Iris. I tried not to I really did, bu...

Iris: (crying softly) It's okay. You're good. We're good. I'll see you later.

I leave the lunch room headed to my locker wondering what next.
