Doc: One more time Iris. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10
After that last push I hear the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. I hear the sound of my daughter cry. I'm a Mom. The doctor places her on my chest and I burst into tears . I look up at Barry who is also crying. He leans down and kisses me.
Nurse 1: Dad would you like to cut the cord.
Barry: (crying) Yes.
One of the nurses lifts the baby up while the other clamps the cord and hands Barry some scissors. Barry cuts the cord.

The nurse walks to the other side of the room with the baby.
Wally: (excited) She's so beautiful!
Cecile: Congratulations you two.
Everyone hugs me and Barry. Fifteen minutes later the nurse brings the baby back all cleaned up and wrapped in a pink blanket and hands her to me.
Nurse 2: She weighs seven pounds three ounces and she's twenty-one inches long.
The nurse leaves. I look at Barry and he smiles.
Iris: Congratulations Daddy.
Barry: Same to you Mommy.
He leans over and kisses me. When we break apart I hand him the baby.
Barry: (excited) WOW!
Joe: It's an amazing feeling isn't Bare?
Barry: (excited) The best feeling.
Wally: Okay Iris stop playing with us. What's her name?
Everyone turns and looks at me.
Iris: Well lady and gents I introduce to you...Nora Joanie Allen.
I decided to name her Nora in honor of Barry's Mother who was killed in a hit and run when we were ten and Joanie in honor of my baby sister who died six hours after she was born. I had never seen my Mom (Cecile) and Dad more hurt than when Joanie died and I had never seen Barry and Mr. Allen more hurt than when Mrs. Allen died. Hopefully this will make everyone happy.
