*Two days later*
Iris' POV:
My Mom, Barry, Mr. Allen and I are sitting in the room waiting for the doctor to come in. They did a number of blood test including a pregnancy test to confirm that I'm actually pregnant. Although my bump is evident. I wish my Dad were here, but he's still super pissed. He hasn't said a word to me since I told him I was pregnant. My Mom is still a little upset, but she really came around the last two days. She even rubs my belly. Mr. Allen isn't mad anymore, but then again he's had a whole month to process it. After about twenty minutes the doctor comes in and sits in front of me as I'm sitting on the table.Doc: Well Miss West you're definitely pregnant. All your blood work looks good. We're going to do an ultrasound to see just how far along you are and then go from there.
Iris: Thank you.
Doc: No problem.
The doctor leaves and a few minutes later an ultrasound tech comes in the room.
Tech: Hello Miss West I will be doing your ultrasound. Now if you could lay back and lift your gown above your stomach.
I do as she ask. She puts the gel on my stomach and press and rubs the wond on my stomach and just like that my baby pops up on the screen and the sound of it's heartbeat fills the room.
Cecile: (crying) OH MY GOSH!
Henry: (crying) Beautiful
I look over at my Mom and Mr. Allen who just like me are already crying. Then I look at Barry who is sitting beside me. He has the biggest smile on his face. I reach over and grab his hand as he starts to cry.
Tech: Based on size you are exactly fourteen weeks today so baby is due September 7th. Today is also the start of your second trimester.
The tech wipes the gel off of my stomach and hands me the two sets of pictures she printed. I give one to Barry.
Tech: Unfortunately I couldn't tell what the baby's gender was because baby wouldn't open it's legs. However the blood work did determine the gender so if you would like to know the doctor will have the results when she comes back in.
Iris: Thank you.
Tech: No problem. You can get dressed now.
The tech leaves.
Cecile: We're gonna step out so that you can get dressed.
Henry: Come on son.
Barry: Dad I've already seen her naked.
Iris: (shocked) Barry!
Cecile: He has a point.
My Mom and Mr. Allen leaves the room. I get up from the table and get dressed. Barry lets our parents know they can come back in the room. My Mom comes in the room with an awkward look on her face.
Iris: (concerned) Mom what's wrong?
Cecile: Pictures of you being here were posted online and now it's all over town about Mayor West's teenage daughter having a baby.
Iris: (sad) Great another reason for Dad to hate me.
Cecile: Don't say that.
Henry: Bare why don't we step out and let them talk? We can come back in when the doctor comes.
Mr. Allen and Barry leaves. My Mom sits in the chair next to me and grabs my hand.
Cecile: Sweetie your Dad doesn't hate you. He's just disappointed right now that's all.
Iris: (sad) He hates me Mom.
Cecile: Oh honey I wish that I could make you see differently.
A few minutes later the doctor followed by Barry and Mr. Allen enters the room.
Doc: First off I saw the news that someone leaked about you and your pregnancy. On behalf of everyone here I would like to apologize to you and your family.
Iris: Thank you.
Doc: Would you like to know the gender?
I look over at Barry who has excitement all over his face.
Iris: Would you?
Barry: (excited) Yes.
I turn back to the doctor and shake my head yes.
Doc: Okay then You're having a baby girl.
Henry: (excited) WE'RE HAVING A GRANDDAUGHTER!
My Mom and Mr. Allen hug each other. Barry and I just smile at how happy our parents are in this moment. The Doctor hands me some papers.
Doc: You have your prescription for prenatal vitimins and your next appointment date which is in a month.
Iris: Thank you.
We leave the doctors office and head home. My Mom seems to be more excited after that visit. I wonder how my Dad feels about me right now.
A/N: * Until next time my dear Peaches... *
