Beth's POV
As I woke up, I saw that the room was a mess, I wonder what happened. I suddenly realised the sound of sobbing and somebody moving around. I succeed on getting up without waking Ashton from his deep slumber and relief took over my body. I needed to see what was happening, I didn't want to face my mistakes just yet. I walked down the stairs being careful not to make any noises but obviously the floor board had to squeak when i stepped on it. I looked around as if someone was following me. I stood in silence and carried on when i realised I hadn't woken anybody.
I made my way downstairs and followed the crying noises. I walked into the living room to see Em bundled with loads of blankets crying into them. She looked up and relief swept over her face. Was she glad it wasnt somebody else?
"What's wrong?" i questioned.
Em's POV
Beth asked me what was wrong as i looked up at her with tears rolling down my cheeks. This has become a habit over the years. I have known her for so long i feel like i can tell her the truth but i'm not sure she will understand. After realizing that i hadnt replied just looked at her i quickily said that everything was fine.
"Are you sure because it doesnt look that way" she said with a questioning look.
"Yea just you know hayfever. Theres something in my eye so yeah i erm i am fine" i shakely replied
"Come on Em i have known you for long enough to know that you are upset about something so spill" she replied with a stern look on her face.
I just looked at her. I didnt know what to say because i was a mess right now.
"Emma" she urged
I didn't have it in me to tell her with words. My throat was dry and my eyes were puffy. Silently i handed her my phone. She took it from me and looked at it and realized it was my messages. She looked down and read the conversation that was open on my phone.
Beth's POV
I looked down at the phone that was given to me and stared at it for a moment and then realized it was a message from her Mum.
From: Mum :)
Emma i dont really know what to say but you need to come back. Your Nan passed away and we need to all stick together right now. Please come home, we need you xx
I looked down at the phone in disbelief. No doubt my mouth was hanging open. My eyes misted over and a tear made its way down my face. I looked at Em and back at the phone. I couldnt believe it. Em was so close to her Nan because she had no siblings to be close to and share thoughts with.
Em was heartbroken for two reasons. Mainly because she had just lost one of the most important people in her life. Secondly because she had to go back to England and that meant leaving this dream life she was living. When i looked back at Em she finally said something.
"What do i do about Luke?"
