26. Emotions and messages

Luke' POV

Michael has been so upset lately, me and him haven't ever been that close but I can't believe Leah would do that. He wouldn't talk to anyone, well all of us have tried apart from Em who has been doing lots of course work. Nobody has seen or heard from her in days and I'm starting to get worried. Approaching Michael's door I knocked and waiting for him to answer. But he didn't, he was talking. Who to? Then I heard Em's voice, full of enthusiasm. I could tell what was happening but I heard a bang and then someone groaned. No he better not be! I barged the door open to find Michael on the floor in pain and Em laughing so much you could hear it. I can't believe I thought she would cheat.

Before I could leave Em's eyes trailed to mine but as soon as our eyes met she looked away. " I- I'm sorry, I'm the only one he would talk to. But when you walked in you looked angry. What did you think?"

" He heard a crash and then a moan, what would you think if you heard that. Not to mention he probably heard your voice. " Michael took the words right out of my mouth while checking he wasn't bleeding. Em gave me the ' is this true' look. I just nodded and turned to walk away. " We have to have trust Lukey, without that we have nothing." She ran up behind me and jumped on my back, I was surprised she could since I am so much taller than her. She had her arms around my neck. She was right.

Swinging her round I said " I trust you, no go get the old Mickey back" she jumped down as I leant in for a kiss. She just poked out her tongue and ran back into Michael's room and slammed the door in my face. Suddenly my phone beeped, twice?

I felt bad kissing infront of Mikey after what he has gone through sorry Lukey xxxx

It's ok, I'll see you later Emmy xxxx

I checked the other message. I didn't recognise the number so I will read it later. I'm going to go get pizza because that always cheer Michael up.

I returned with the pizza to find Michael and Em in the front room complaining how hungry they were. " Guess who the best person ever is?" I screamed hiding the pizza " the delivery guy because he has food!" Michael replied and I heard Em giggle. I walked into the front room " oh, I'll just take this pizza back then." I tried to drown but the expression on their faces was priceless. " Did Michael say delivery guy I think he meant Lukey Pie!" Em said while running at me. I handed her the pizza since she looked like she was going to knock me out.

A few hours later, Michael was back to his usual self " I'm hungry" Michael interrupted my thoughts only to prove my point. The boys and I sat in Michaels front room because we were all going out together as well as Em and Beth. Harry was busy so it would be Ash and Beth, Cal and Michael, me and Em but knowing her she would sit with Michael and Cal just to be nice. We went to get the girls in Ashton's car, we all had to squeeze in the back apart from Beth. Damn those girlfriend perks. Em was on my lap and the other two squeezed in next to us. When we got our table I sat down guessing Em would sit opposite. But when I looked up I saw Em looking at me awkwardly. " Erm, I guess I'll sit over there then." She looked embarrassed, she was trying to sit with me. Of course, well done Luke!

Em's POV

Luke had practically rejected me and everyone was looking at me with sympathetic eyes except Luke, it's not a secret that I'm just a reject. ' Good luck saving yourself' my subconscious tells me. I push her back far enough to be able to hear the waitress introduce herself. Her name was Rita. Even though she was wearing her uniform, she stood out. It was clearly because she had cleverage on display. I couldn't help but notice that Luke was staring at her and she was flirting with him. I felt a tear roll down my cheek. When she walked off to get our drinks that were supposedly ' on the house' I dismissed myself from the group.

I walked into the toilet and felt as though I might break down, when the tears started someone pushed the door open. It was Beth, I forgot about the girl code. " D- did you see?" she nodded her head and just comforted me. I couldn't stop the tears now they have started.

Luke's POV

Both of the girls had gone to the toilet, I still don't get why they do that. " Why mate?" Calum asked clearly directing his question to me. I was overly confused, now what?

" Dude, you didn't let your girlfriend sit with you and then you check out the waitress? Who does that?" realising what I had been doing, I felt guilty. " I- I didn't realise, normally she sits with you guys and I just blanked out and didn't realise. Did she notice?" they all nodded and said ' yeah' at the same time. " Oh, by the way, she always try's to sit with you but she never can because you don't let her in or move over." I never realised she was waiting for me to do that " also, she was crying before she left. I gotta go, I think I saw Beth walking out" ashton informs us but mainly me. I follow him out and find that Em had indeed been crying. I apologised to her and she just nodded. I guess now is a good time to check my phone.

Remembering the message that came through earlier, I opened it. Wait, no! this has got to be a joke! The message said...
