16. Leaving?

Calum's POV

Yesterday, practise didnt really go to plan. Em never came back, so we had to get Harry to help us. i'm on my way to Beth's for 2 reasons. 1 to check on Em but i also needed to talk to Beth. My hands thick with sweat i walked up her drive feeling slightly sick. Once i finished knocking Beth answered, she gave me a half hearted smile and walked back inside. I took that as my que to follow, when she realised i was behind her she began yelling a me

" WHY DID YOU FOLLOW ME IN! I LEFT YOU AT THE DOOR FOR A REASON! GO ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEMS BECAUSE I HAVE MY OWN TO SORT OUT !"

What had I done? I knew that if I stayed she probably would have ended up shooting me, so I decided I'll leave her for a bit. As I walked out of Beth's house I saw Em sitting on the patch of grass, being the person I am I had to go see if she was ok.

"Em? What's wrong?"

" Calum, nothing erm don't worry."

I decided I would talk to her first so she knew she could trust me. " Em..." Before I could carry on she cut me off

"Calum, I know you like Harry. I can tell, and I think you are cuties together. Your my OTP." Wow, I was that easy to read? Em is just amazing in every way, she has always been here for me. Even in London. The only thing I can do now is to do the same for her

"Em, I know your not ok! please just tell me."

" I'm going to go back to London! I just can't do this anymore! Beth won't wanna talk to me, Michael never actually liked me anyway and Luke probably hates me now! I am sorry but I have to!" she rushed as if she thought I wouldn't hear her but I heard her loud and clear. She believes that Luke hates her? Thats just crazy! " Em, if that's what you want then I'll support you every step of the way. But I've gotta get going now" but before I could leave she made me promise I would tell the others because she didn't have it in her. Well, Luke is going to love this!

LUKE'S POV

Calum was gathering everyone at his house and to be honest, I didn't want to leave my bed. But I will because it might be important. I got dressed slowly since I had an hour till I had to be at his house anyway.

Once we were all here Calum started off telling us how Em had decided she wants to go back to London, that hurt but what hurt more was the reasons why. She thought I hated her, I never could even if I wanted to. I decided I was going to text her and see if she would tell me the same thing and she told me everything Calum had just said and that made my heart break even more. She was going to leave me again.

EM'S POV

I think maybe I should talk to Beth seeing as I'm going back to London soon. Before I got to my phone vibrated and I decided I should check it. It was Luke and it said,

' I know you think I hate you but I never could. So will you please think about staying. For me. And maybe becoming my girlfriend?'

I was so shocked, but I hate when people ask you out over text. I ignored his message and decided it was best to tell Beth. She was and always will be my best friend no matter what.

Her reaction was like mine and she said she was busy tonight but would get one of the boys to take me out and so I begged for it to be Calum and of course she gave in. I'm just that irresistible. I think I should at least make some effort so I wore my new high-waisted shorts with a white crop top, my hair with it's natural beach waves and a bit of makeup. Just the basic mascara, lip gloss and a little bit of silver eyeliner. I looked presentable even though I had been crying all day, even if I do say so myself.

I arrived at the cinema and decided I would get our seats that Beth had already gotten for us both the tickets for and waited for the film to start or for Calum to turn up either would be fine. The lights were turning off and there was no sign of Calum, I decided I would just enjoy the film. That's when I realised a figure standing where the screen was, that was Luke! what was he doing?

" Emma Leigh, would you please be my girlfriend?" he actually asked in front of the whole cinema, I could feel my cheeks going bright red and everyone was cheering. I couldn't handle the attention and ran out. I could hear someone calling my name but I didn't think to stop instead I hid around the corner. Failing because Luke found me, with tears in his eyes.

" Of course I will but next time please don't draw attention to me. I hate the attention please?" he nodded and a smile formed on his face, before I could speak he was crushing his lips into mine and it felt like we belonged together. We both stood up and walked out, swinging our hands that were intertwined. "Incase, you didn't know I'm not planning on going back to London now." As I said the words a smile formed on his face. He must have thought I would leave anyway.
