Luke's POV
I can't believe she left and told me through a letter. But what hurt the most is that she thinks I hate her. We all have read each other's letters and now we all have a clear understanding of what happened. I sit alone in my room thinking of her, all the things we used to do and how much I missed everything about her. Why am I just sitting here? What else can I do though?
Em's POV
Infront of me stood a broken boy that had been crying for a while and the tears still steam down his face. I ran out and hugged him. " What are you doing here?" I asked without hesitation " I couldn't let you leave know I hate you. I never could. I love you Em" Luke's familiar voice spoke like music to my ears. " I love you Luke but I think it's for the best. If we are meant to be together then we will find a way back together." I kissed his cheek and turned to walk on the plane. He grabbed my wrist and spun me around, kissing me before letting go. I could taste my salty tears through the kiss but I had to go. I walked into the plane and as the doors closed, the last thing I saw was Luke crying. He just deserves better than me.
I found my seat and fastened my belt. When we could take our belts off I grabbed my phone and plugged in my headphones. I listened to Luke, singing not just talking. Most of the time he didn't realise I was recording but that just made it better.
We finally landed in Australia and I couldn't wait to go home. I finally had enough money to buy an apartment so I won't be a pain to Beth and her family anymore. My new house was on a familiar road which I recognised as the road Luke lived on. It turns out I'm his neighbour. Maybe this is to prove we should be together. I tried ringing Luke but it went straight to voice mail. Maybe he didn't want to talk to me for a while. I just left a message before falling asleep on the sofa because that is the only furniture I have.
Luke's POV
Once I got back from the airport, I noticed I had 10 missed calls. 1 from Harry 1 from Michael 2 from Cal 3 from Ash 2 from Beth and 1 from Em. I rung back Ashton and he told me to ' get my ass home now' so I rushed down the street. I have a voice mail from Em but I will listen to it when I get home.
Once I walked through the door I was bombarded with questions. I answer Em and walked off the my room. Plugging in my headphones so I could listen to the voice note. I pressed play and listened to Em's voice-
" Erm, hey. I'm not sure if your ignoring me but I guess you have the right to be. So I got a new apartment and I didn't get to see it since I was in London but guess what! it turns out it's the house next to yours. That must mean something. Erm, I don't know what to say but I'm going to bed now. Night I love you.
The voice message made me smile so I just listened to it on repeat before falling asleep while cuddling the blue penguin that Em got for me on our first date. I'm going to miss her like crazy but I guess she is right, this could be good for us.
I trust Em but I don't trust the guys in Australia. Even when I was there, they still flirted and tried it with her. This is going to be had for me but I must try and think positive. I sent Em a message

I love you too. Maybe we can skype soon. I just hope you sleep well. See you soon xxx
