By the time his feet gave up from all the running, Leon finds himself settled in a small park filled with people alike.
Leon always hated being inside hospitals, especially when it involves his receiving injections and around needles after his encounter with the Las Plagas parasite in Spain years ago.
The blonde agent made his daring escape after the nurse had plucked out his IV bag in exchange of a new one, and Leon took the chance to escape through the fire escape.
Taking a seat on one of the benches, Leon wrapped his leather jacket around him tighter as the early winter cold was already getting to him.
With nothing else to entertain him, Leon slowly drifted off into his own world, his eyes looking at the pond but not seeing as the ducks swam peacefully on the surface while feeding on the bread crumbs that were occasionally fed into the pond.
The pond reminded him of when him and Dante had gone away on a trip to the country side during the winter.
Leon chuckled by himself with a fond expression as he also remembered when he and Dante had spent time down by the huge lake that was by their cabin house.
Leon had whipped up a picnic for two and had laid out the food nicely while Dante decided to take a swim around the lake.
Leon had been nursing a tuna sandwich when Dante had resurfaced from the water, snatching the sandwich from Leon's mouth and dodged Leon's fist as he gobbled up the food sloppily while managing to flash a grin at Leon.
Dante had his upper body on the surface while eating the food that was fed into his mouth by Leon, and disappeared back into the water after the food was finished.
The next few moments were probably one of the most terrifying ten minutes that Leon had ever had.
Leon had called out for Dante to get out of the surface as the weather was getting cold. When Dante didn't surfaced, Leon had called out a second time, than a third time.
By the fifth call, Leon was beginning to panic as his eyes scanned the water surface for any moment, and his heart beat even faster when there was none.
"Dante, I'm not playing around!" Leon shouted out as he stepped closer to the edge of the lake, until his ankles were completely in the water.
Leon let out a yelp when something closed around his ankle, and he tried to get out of the iron grip and struggled not to be pulled down to the water.
"Got you!" And it turns out that his asshole of a boyfriend decided to mess with Leon and laughed as he kissed Leon's cheek as he released his grip on Leon's ankle.
The agent yelled as he used his strength to push Dante off his back until Dante was the one lying on the lake, with Leon above him.
Dante thought Leon was mad at him, but was caught by surprise when Leon had instead pulled him in for a kiss on the lips. The two made out in the lake until Leon had shivered as a cool breeze blew at them.
Dante had laughed as he picked Leon up with his bare hands, while the other picking upthe picnic basket that had been packed by Leon and entered into the cabin.
Leon couldn't help the blush that dusted his cheek when he remembered that he and Dante had shared a long night of passionate sex and kissing. They were so into each other that they only fell asleep when the sun had peek over the horizon.
Leon was distracted out of his thoughts as a bark rang in his ears. Turning around, Leon saw nothing that resembled a dog until he looked down to find a brown corgi sniffing at his shoes.
The dog barked at Leon as it wag its tail so hard its butt was shaking as well, and placed a paw on Leon's shoe.
Leon smiled at the sight, petting the corgi with a chuckle as the dog barked at him again, before running back to its owner who was looking for it.
"Leon, you scared me!" Leon perked up when he heard his name and snorted in amusement when he realised that the corgi from earlier was given the same name as him.
The owner smiled apologetically at Leon for her dog's behaviour, before scooping the corgi into her arms and left the park.
"Leon!" A familiar voice called out his name before a yellow ball of hair jumped into his chest.
Leon looked up to find Helena and Jake were looking at him with worry rather than annoyance.
"You got us worry there, Hero." Jake said as Sherry released her hold over Leon, stepping back to stand beside Jake.
"Sorry. I just needed some fresh air to clear my head." Leon said as he smiled apologetically while Helena who knew Leon too well that she merely rolled her eyes at Leon's answer.
"Come on, let's get you back. Jar-Head was so worry he's ready to punch the wall in half." Leon snorted at Jake's remark before following the other three back to the hospital, and Chris was too glad to see the blonde back at the hospital that the BSAA soldier's earlier threats were all forgotten.
