Chapter 13

" WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT KEEP THE BABY", my mom screamed. "I mean I wanna keep the baby", I say. My mom glares at me. "Sorry" I mutter. "Kaylynn" she sighs "you're 13 with a bright future ahead of you... a baby would turn things upside down. "My life has already flipped" I say " and right now there is a baby growing inside of me.. i am not going to kill it". "Kaylynn" my mom crosses her arms. "I'm not gonna kill it" I repeat. "Kay-Lynn". When my mom breaks apart my name I know she is serious. I start to cry, "you can't make me do it".

I run into my room and lay on my bed staring at my ceiling. A few minutes later my mom walks into my room and sits on the bed. "Kaylynn" she says "are you sure you want to keep it, there are other alternatives like adoption". I sit up. "If I don't keep my baby, the fact that I didn't will kill me. And if I have the baby... I guess that'll give me something to live for, and no one can take care of my baby like I can take care of my baby¨. ¨Okay¨ my mom begins to leave the room and get her mind right.

¨Mommy" I say before she leaves the room. ¨Yes hun¨ she stops walking. ¨Can I talk to him please¨. My mom begins, ¨now why would you wanna-¨ I interrupt her ¨please¨. She rolls her eyes, ¨okay¨. I go upstairs and knock on the door. My palms are sweaty and I am shaking. I knock on the door a second time and Mason answers. He says nothing to me but lets me in. I walk in and knock on Jasonś bedroom door. ¨Come in he says¨

I walk into his room and sit at the edge of the bed. It's been a month now so his face isn't as bad anymore. He sits up and scooches closer to me. It's quiet for a while but then I say ¨I'm pregnant¨. ¨i know¨ he says ¨I told you you can't get away. I roll my eyes ¨I'm keeping it". "I know" he says "because if you didn't I'd beat the shit out of you". "Why" I sigh "why are you so violent". He laughs. "Mk bye" I get up but he pulls me down. "You know we need to take care of the baby together he grabs my hand. "So Jeremy needs to be out of the picture". "Ha I think not" I say. We had a long hour talk then I go back downstairs. I shoot Kara a text. "I don't wanna press charges".
