Chapter 16

I wake up, back sore, head throbbing. Jason has his arm wrapped around me. I gently move it trying not to wake him up. I quietly put on my clothes and return to the living room and pack up Ayala's things. I walk into her room and she is standing up in her crib smiling at me. My baby is beautiful, she is light skin with long curly hair (well to her shoulders she is only 1) and big brown eyes. And how can i forget the big dimples on both of her cheeks. ¨Hi mama¨ I say while picking her up.  I put on her coat and shoes and walk outside where Jeremy is waiting for me. He puts her in her carseat and I get in the drivers seat and he gets in the passenger. I drive us home and when I park in front of the house Jeremy says ¨see who said you can't drive¨. ¨The police¨ I chuckle. 

BEEP, beep, beep the alarm goes. Ugh it's too early to be waking up! Itś 4:30am and the first day of highschool. Freshman! I have 30 minutes to get Ayala ready and on her bus which I do and then I have 30 minutes for me to get myself ready. I just put my hair in abun, put on ripped jeans, and big red hoodie. By 6am I am at this big school. Public not Private. *Sigh* ¨here we go¨ I say entering. I stand in the middle of the hall confuses and taken aback from all the people in the hallway.  ¨Hey are you lost¨ a pretty dark skin girl with long hair asks. ¨Oh yea¨ I say ¨can you bring me to the office¨? ¨Sure¨ she grabs my arm and leads the way ¨im Parisa btw¨. ¨Im Kaylynn, and your name is pretty¨. ¨Thanks¨ she smiles¨. I get my schedule from the principal and go on about my day.

Through the past few quarters I have made 3 new friends and Keisha goes to this school as well. Sebastien, Keisha, Christian, and I are so close. We are always together and we are like a clique. Parisa and I have every class together, Keisha and I have math together, Christian and I have social studies together and Sebastien and I have science together. This is how I met Christian on the first day of school. I was sitting in the cafeteria next to Parisa and Keisha when Christian came over. ¨Keisha¨, ¨Keisha¨ ¨you got perfume¨ he asks. ¨No¨ she laughs. I laugh and hand Christian some perfume. ¨Hi you're new¨ he smiles ¨I'm Christian¨. ¨I'm Kaylynn¨ I take my perfume when he finishes spraying it onto his bag. He puts his thumbs up and walks away. I met Sebastien because I was walking in the park, skipping class and I caught him smoking. I chuckled and walked up to him ¨you tryna share¨. ¨Oh you're like that Kaylynn¨he says passing me the blunt. Shocked that he knew my name I took the blunt and giggled. After we got high we put on like 20 pounds of perfume and then went back to school . We've been friends ever since.

Music booms. Everyone is dancing and having fun. ¨Kaylynn¨ Parisa yells and motions me to sit with her and Keisha on the couch. ¨Girl I am so glad you are here¨, Parisa laughs ¨these bitches are crazy¨! I sit down. ¨Ouu Keisha¨ I smile ¨there goes your boyfriend. Keisha hits me and tells me to shut up as Sebastien walks over to us. He takes my phone and starts taking pictures. ¨Hey give me my celly delly¨ I say attempting to get my phone back. ¨My penis¨? Sebastien chuckles. We all had a great time that night, eating, dancing, but I think I had more fun then the others.
