Chapter 8

Keisha and I go on separate busses and I go home. The sun is shining through the blinds in the living room and I am attempting to get a sun-kissed photo when I hear a girl giggle. I peer out the window. It's a girl with box braids and she is slim thick. She's speaking but it's inaudible. She is kissing someone. WTF it's Jason!! My blood boils with anger. Once I see the girl leave the porch I go into the hallway.

We enter the hallway at the same time. "Hey bae" he says scratching his head. "Don't hey bae me who the fuck was that". I cross my arms. "Oh that was oh uh um" he stutters. "Da-da-da-da is we stutter now"? I raise my eyebrows. He stares. "You know what have a great life" I turn around and start walking back into my house. He grabs my arm. "What"! I say tears filling my eyes. "Shhhh don't cause a scene" he says. I get out of his grip and go inside. I can see he is still outside. I wipe the tears from my face. "Mommy" I grab her keys "I'm gonna check the mailbox". "Okay hun" she replies. "Please don't cry" he says.  I roll my eyes. "Who is she, how long have you been seeing her do you lov"- "Shhhh" Jason cuts me off. "She is Ericka we have been together for a year now". "We started talking 4 months ago and I am far from a side piece so make a choice" I say.  "Well" he scratches his head "i'm not about to choose you over her". "Ha" I laugh tears still falling down my face "Mk"! "Can I explain" he says grabbing my arm. "No" I raise my voice. "I don't ever wanna talk to you again".  I run to my room put my face on my pillow and burst into tears. I knew he was using me and I let his soft lips drag me in again. How could I be so dumb?! Why would he want me anyways.

Later on Jason is blowing up my phone. I block him from calling me but he keeps texting me. I sigh. Why can't he just leave me alone ?! I finally look at the texts.
"I'm sorry".
"I had to, people would be suspicious".
"You know we have to keep our relationship on the low I can get in trouble".
"I'm so sorry".
"I still love you".
"Do you love me"?
                                                  "Idk". (I reply)
I am lying I do know the answer. I do love him. The weekend has returned and I am on my way to my best friend Alexis's house. She lives hours away and is having her annual pumpkin bash. It's been so long since I saw her! I'm very excited. My mom pulls up in the driveway and Alexis bolts off the porch and hugs me. "Bye mommy love you" I say while grabbing my bag out the car. Alexis and I are chilling and catching up when she asks me to bring her laundry basket downstairs. I run downstairs and bump into Jeremy. Clothes and thur basket fly. I fell on top of him, he's holding me. Everything stops as I look into his dark blue eyes.
