A Red String [Errormare]

This is probably the most fluffy chapter I've ever written but oh well. This was requested @UnholyShipper

Error sat in the Anti-void looking at the red string that laid neatly tied up in a bow around his finger. The string disappeared into the endless celling of the Anti-void, and no matter how much Error tried to take it off it wouldn't budge. He would cut off his finger if he didn't need it. He laid down and tugged on the string a few times. What the hell could it be connected to and why was he the only one that could see it. When he asked Blue about it, the small skeleton thought he was crazy. He sat up and opened a portal to Outertale, he needed some time to think. Maybe if he thought it out long enough he could understand what it was. He walked through the portal landing in Outertale. He looked around for Outer, upon not seeing him he walked to his normal spot. The stars glimmered and shone brightly above his head. Again the red string disappeared into the endless space above. He sat down on the edge of the floating island taking a deep breath. The grass below cushioned him almost like a bed, and the echo flowers lit up the area with a soft glow. It was perfect, everything about it was peaceful, a sight to truly appreciate one might say. So, Error sat there for what seemed like hours in content silence thinking. He was then jostled out of his thoughts by the sound of his friend's voice. He turned around to face them, Error smiled at the familiar sight of Nightmare. Error went to greet him but froze. The same red string was tied around his finger only it didn't disappear into the endless sky. No, it went straight to him, Nightmare smirked "Well isn't this a surprise." he purred nearing Error. Nightmare sat next to the destroyer, "To think the 'Killer Of Worlds' is MY soulmate. How strange, no?" Nightmare muttered looking into the endless space and the glittering stars above. Error blinked and looked at him in utter confusion. Nightmare looked at him and chuckled, "What? Never heard of a soulmate?" he asked softly. Error shook his head "WhAT thE hElL iS a SOulMatE?" Error spoke as quite as his glitchy voice would allow him to. Nightmare hummed in thought for a moment, "One way to explain it is, I'm basically the one your supposed to end up with. Like I am your one true love." Nightmare explained a soft tint of blue blush decorating his cheeks. It took a minute of Error to fully process Nightmares words. Error's face went from confusion to looking like that of the sun. Nightmare laughed softly, Error's blush worsened hearing his softly low laughs that seemed to echo. He quickly looked away pulling his hood up to cover his face. This only made the God of negativity laugh more, he rose his hand up to Error's face and gently pulled his hood off. Error looked away in a desperate attempt to hide his blush. Nightmare smiled at him with the most patients Error has ever seen. "Hey, no need to be embarrassed. It was bound to happen anyways. Says the red string anyways." he hummed patting Error's skull causing him to glitch slightly. Error nodded slowly his blush dying down only slightly. He could feel his soul flutter in his chest at the gentle pats he received from Nightmare. It wasn't normal for the god of nightmares to be so calm and nice. Something had to have changed and it certainly couldn't have been him. Error was broken out his thoughts by Nightmare who had cleared his throat to get his attention. Error looked up at Nightmare in confusion, "You know, I feel at peace now. I know who I was supposed to be with all this time. And if I'm honest I'm very happy with the ending." He muttered smiling softly at Error. The glitchy god couldn't help but smile, something good finally happened because of him. Something that who change his and someone else's life. He laughed a bit "Ya, Me tOo." He whispered and looked back at the stars. He leaned to the side letting his body rest on Nightmare. Error's smile widened at the sound of Nightmares chuckle and how he lightly placed his hand on his. It was quiet for a moment, the peaceful silence filling the air. A few moments of this passed and the silence was broken. Broken by three sweet soft words that were uttered by Nightmare. "I love you." the god of nightmares whispered to the smaller. Error blushed slightly he didn't even need to look at Nightmare for his words were enough. "I lOvE yoU tOo." the smile on Error's face could be heard in his voice. Pure happiness, peace and the start to a beautiful relationship. These were the things that would be imprinted into the floating piece of land forever. After those words were uttered the couple sat in peaceful silence watching the stars above. At times soft idle chatter could be heard from the two. Everything was peaceful and finally, for once Error and Nightmare got their happy ending. As well as a well-deserved rest, and the peace they desperately needed. Everything was good.

Sorry if it's short I'm not that good a completely fluffy stories! Though I promise the next one I do will be longer!
