Unexpected (Hayes Grier Fanctic)

Chapter 9

Mal's POV

Today was the day of me and Hayes first date. With everything that has happened I really hope tonight is wonderful so I can forget about it. I got up to get ready for school just like any other day.

** I didn't feel like writing about school **

After school I came home and did some of my homework. I was so glad Friday was tomorrow. If the date goes well hopefully me and Hayes can hang during the weekend. But then after I dazed off I realized it was 4:00 and Hayes told me today that he was gonna pick me up at 4:30.Crap. I ran up stairs and put on blue jeans a Black v-neck with a gold watch and a Blue bubble necklace. I was also wearing black sandals. ( CUTE OUTFIT ) I went in the bathroom and checked my phone that read 4:25.

I quickly re-applied my mascara and did an ombre eye shadow I also put on gold rinestones. I walked down stairs and grabbed my Black small purse and put my $, eos capstick, and phone in there. It was about 4:32 when he arrived. I sound so stalkerish! I walked up and opened the front door. Hayes just looked at me when I went to grab my purse. I walked out side and shut the door.(SSHHH I DIDN'T LOCK IT)

" Mal you look beautiful " Hayes said like he never even knew how  much we hated eachother in the past.

" And you look very handsome " I said awkwardly. He was wearing Khaki pants with a Grey v-neck t-shirt and a snapback.

We got in his Black truck and drove off. I had to admit he was a darn good driver. We arrived at Grande Hare the most EXPENSIVE place in Moorseville.

" Hayes your kidding right. You could have took me too Taco Bell and I would have been fibe with that. " I said shocked.

" For a first date? " He said confused.

" No I'm gonna show you how sorry I am for yesterday and also how much I care about you." Hayes said passionately.

" Okay lets just see how this goes. " I said grabbing my purse and opening the car door.

We walked inside. ( laughing face )

" Reservation for Hayes " He said. OMG IM AM HUNGRY^

The waiter came and sat us down at a table. We looked at the menu and about 2 minutes later he came back.

" What would you like to drink " He asked.

" Sprite " We both said at the same time.

" 2 Sprites coming right up" He said weirded out.

" Your Favorite soda is sprite too" Hayes asked and I  nodded my head. He gave me a WOW face that I saw as I was putting down the menu. I started to giggle.

" So are you gonna try out for the Davidson Day lacrosse team this year? " Hayes asked me.

The waiter came back with our drinks, I took a sip and replied.

" The boys and girls team suck. No offense because I knew you played on the boys team last year. " I said.

" You'd make it 10 times better. " Hayes said quickly starting to drink his soda.

" You really think so? " I asked blushing. Nobody has really told me that before. He made me feel special like nobody has either before. All the other guys I've dated are such jerks. Oh wait back to the date.

" Yeah, and plus sometimes we get to practice together. Last year I didn't know any of the girls so I had to partner up with someone random. I accidently stepped on her toe and broke it." Whe Hayes said that last sentence I almost spit to sprite out of my mouth.

" Are you talking about Jenny Pickle " I said starting to laugh. Hayes started to laugh to but we he finally could talk he replied.

" Yes that was her." He said.

About 5 minutes later after we continued to talk and laugh the waiter came by.

" What would you like to order" The waiter asked.

" I'll have to Chicken and Caeser salad, and for my sause I'll have ranch" I said closing the menu.

" And I'll Have the Chicken Sandwinch with ranch on the side for my fries" Hayes said smiling then he closed the menu and we both gave it to the waiter.

" Hayes" I said and he looked up at me.

" Yeah Mal"

" You like RANCH WITH YOUR FRIES" I said.

" Uh Yeah I can't eat them with anything else. Why? " Hayes asked.

" I absolutly love them with fries." I said starting to laugh.

" Well then that can be our realtionship meal " Hayes said with a smirk. What? I gave a confused look on my face.

" Mal would you like the be my girlfriend or boyfriend or ya" He said getting nervous.

" Hayes I will be your GIRLFRIEND" I said smiling.

After we got our food we talked about what we had missed about our life ever since whatever grade we starting hating eachother.

After I was done eating Hayes let me have some of his fries and ranch.(#realtionshipgoals)

I got out of the car and walked to the door hand in hand. We reached the door and he gave me a hug goodbye. After we let go I asked him something.

" Hey want to meet up this weekend. I need help to practice before I try out." Once I said those words all I could see is Hayes face light up. He nodded his head. Before he turned around I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. He looked down at me. I stood up on my tippie toes and gave him a kiss ON THE CHEEK.

I can't wait for tomorrow !
