Chapter Twenty-Three

“Yes.”

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No.”

“Yes!”

“I forbid you to put it on!”

“Oh, well in that case...NO!”

“Come on!”

“Sorry your highness but you’re out of luck this time.”

I was currently arguing with Logan who was probably the most stubborn person to of graced the Earth. He was worse than Ash and that was certainly saying something. Max and Charlie were sat on the couch with amused expressions, sharing a bowl of popcorn between the two.

“Guys, give me some back up!” Logan insisted, turning to his brothers for help.

“Sorry, bro. I do not want to get on Brooklyn’s bad side.” Max said, Charlie nodding in agreement. I smirked as Logan threw his hands in the air and stomped over to where his brothers sat. He dropped forcefully down next to Charlie causing him the popcorn to spill all over him. I chuckled as I watched the scene play out before me. Charlie scowled at Logan, throwing some popcorn at him.

“Guys, save some for the movie!” I said, stopping them before it got too out of hand and before Beth could shout at us to clean it up.

“I’ll go call the others.” I said.

“There’s no way they are agreeing to watch this film.” Logan said, folding his arms across his chest.

“That’s why we’re not telling them Mr Grumpy pants.”

Going to the bottom of the stairs I called up, “ASH! TRISTAN! TYSON! KENNY! DUSTIN!”

I knew that the eldest brothers were out at some college party so didn’t bother shouting their names.

“What?” Ash called down the stairs annoyed. I smirked, loving the fact that I could annoy him without intention.

“Get your brothers, we’re watching an action movie.” I lied. He didn’t seem to notice and instead went to grab his brothers. A minute later he came bounding down the stairs with Kenny on one shoulder and Dustin on the other, both squealing with laughter. I don’t think he still expected me to be there because as his eyes landed on my amused smile his laughter died down and he placed his little brothers back on safe ground. They continued to run away in a fit of giggles, pushing each other along the way.

“Quit staring at me like that.” Ash complained scowling at me. I rose an eyebrow at him.

“Like what?” I asked.

“Like I’m an alien from outer space.”

“Well, you did have that green skin so I wouldn’t be surprised.” I smirked.

He groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “Are you ever going to give that up?”

“Nope.” I chuckled.

“Whatever, let’s watch this film.” He muttered, brushing past me. Probably the first time he hadn’t pushed me with his shoulder. That is what I called progress, ladies and gentlemen. A minute later Tristan and Tyson both hurried down the stairs, offering me a smile as they passed by me. I was the last one into the movie room, by the time I got there the boys had made themselves comfortable. Max, Charlie, Logan and Ash sat on the large sofa with two bowls of popcorn, Tyler and Tyson were laying on a heap of pillows on the floor and Dustin and Kenny were sprawled out in the big chair.
