I raised my eyes slowly. The alpha glared down at me.He glanced me up and down quickly before moving me to the side where Aaron was. He looked Cassy over and repeated the motion of moving her to Aaron.
"Are you ok?" Aaron asked glancing between us. We both nodded. The music was cut off abruptly and the room let out a collective groan.
"If you are not 18 sit down." The alpha said. It was a full-blown Alpha command that stopped everyone in the room. A shiver of fear ran down my spine but I managed to suppress a full on flinch. Two thirds of the room immediately sank down to sit on the floor, including Cassy. The room was silent now. No one spoke or moved.
"Your parents will be called. You may leave when they arrive to retrieve you and not a moment before." He said. His voice dripped with disappointment and control. It only seemed to make me feel even worse. I decided to sink down to sit next to Cassy in hopes that it would ease the dizziness. I sank down a little faster than intended and plopped hard. Aaron knelt down in front of me. His eyes were full of concern. I shook my head. I was fine. I just felt a little sick.
"I want you to understand how disappointed I am at what happened here tonight." The alpha said addressing the room. "There are children here as young as 13... That punch was spiked with far worse than alcohol. I had a girl come to my office tonight. She could barely stand because of the drug that's in your punch." The anger in his voice only seemed to intensify my nausea. "I want you to think about that the next time you decide to throw a party. Think about how your irresponsibility allowed a girl to be drugged... poisoned while you were busy dancing and drinking." He paused to take a deep breath. "As of now everyone here over the age of 18 will be on grave patrol since you don't seem to mind being out in the middle of the night. Consider this your ONLY warning. The next time I find out there's a party involving minors or drugs there will be very serious consequences for EVERYONE involved."
"If you are 18. I suggest you keep your mouth shut and start cleaning while we make sure all of these CHILDREN get home safe." Adam said.
The room was spinning. I could feel the bile rising in my throat. I was going to puke. I jumped up and made a run for the door. I made it outside, partially slid down the steps, landed on my knees, and puked in the bushes.
I sat back on the grass once I was sure the puking was over. I didn't feel any better but at least my stomach was empty.
"Crap. I knew I shouldn't have let you drink that much..." Thomas said kneeling down next to me.
"Come on I'll take you home." He said reaching to help me up. I shook my head and tried to pull away. There was no way I felt well enough to get up or be in a car yet let alone be alone with him again. I pushed at his arm to get him to release me.
"Rylan please. We can go back to my place if you'd prefer..." He said.
"Absolutely not." Aaron said. I didn't turn to look at him. I was working on strategic breathing to try and stop the spinning.
"She's an adult she can make her own decisions." Thomas said.
"Thomas..." Silas interrupted before Aaron was able to reply.
"I brought her. It's my responsibility to make sure she gets home safely." Thomas said.
"It was your responsibility to look out for things like spiked punch. We can smell the alcohol in your system as well as the drug in hers. You aren't driving anywhere and damn sure not taking Rylan with you." Aaron said furious.
"I didn't know about the drug..." Thomas said.
"Then you're an idiot." Aaron said.
"You know now. Are you still trying to take her somewhere alone?" Silas asked.
