Due to the incident, I had another run in with the cops. I imagine they were so enthralled by my presence that they insisted on bringing me down to HQ. I couldn't fathom denying their invitation. They even offered to call my parents to pick me up after the party.

"How is it that you always find yourself in these sorts of messes?"

The man sitting behind the desk was none other than Officer Davis. I remember the first time we ever met was on my first night patrol with Spider-Man. Sadly I do not recall every aspect of the outing, but it did end with me winding up at the station, interrogated by police officers. Much like today actually.

I shrugged at his previous remark. "Well, I like to believe that trouble finds me."

"Right," he lowered his sunglasses down his nose bridge. I only had to wonder why he was wearing such accessory at nine at night. "We called your parents, they should be arriving soon."

"With New York's traffic?" I let out a small chuckle and got cozy in my seat. "I give them three hours, tops."

I reached inside my pocket to retrieve my electronic device. I didn't take much notice of the different style or brand until the unexpected buzz notified that my finger print was not a match. This was not at all mine.

"Fudge," I cursed out. Maybe the phone belonged to another passenger. Had I accidentally taken it from them without knowing? And how?

The password kept me from entering. I couldn't possibly identify its original owner, except for the Spider-Man screensaver compelling me to believe the mystery person was a fan.

Officer David let out a sigh and reclined in his own seat, phone in hand. He shoved the documents littering his environment, leaving them at one side of the table. "Let me just text the folks, let them know I'll be late for family dinner."

"How's Ms. Morales doing?"

The Officer didn't look up from his phone when replying, "Just fine. It's been pretty busy at the hospital though."

"I can imagine." With or without Spider-Man, casualties are still an aspect of society. No superhero could change that.

I allowed Officer David sone quiet to finish up on his husband/fatherly task. Besides I was preoccupied with my own task of unlocking the mystery phone.

The phone lock was a set of four numbers, so I tapped in whatever code I thought imaginable until I cause it to lock itself.

I sighed at the failure resting on my lap. Everything was calm until it began to buzz with some notifications. I seized the moment to unveil the owner's identity.

It was a text. It read: "Working late, held up at the station. Your classmate Vanessa Hughes is here with me."

My mouth hung agape with incredulity. The answer was as clear as day. But how could I accept it?

Just then, an individual clothed in matching blue uniforms with Officer David entered. He signaled for me. "Must be your parents," explained Officer David as he set his phone down on. "Now you be careful. If you see anything-"

"Call 911, yadda, yadda, I've heard this before," I stood up and gathered my things. In my right pocket I felt another phone, my phone. "By the way, Miles forgot his phone in class today, I figure you could pass it to him?"

I tossed him the phone and turned to leave.

"Goodbye, Officer!"

Author's note: Hey guys, this was a pretty short one I feel. At least I tried to keep it short since I knew it'd be extra boring so... anyway, it's practically 5 am and I have school. Good reading to my beautiful readers!
