Chapter 4
After hours of being in hell, school was finally over and I couldn't wait to get out of here. My day was going well, but I hated being here for too long. 7 hours was long enough. To top it off, listening to teachers drone on for hours about subjects I didn't care about didn't help much either. The only good thing that came from being here was being able to see my friends. At least they can suffer with me.
I finished putting the things I didn't need with me in my locker and met Violet out in the parking lot. We usually rotate who was picking up who. This time she picked me up and we were going to go to her house. Not like we had anything better to do in the first place. I'm sure the boys would be busy doing something else anyway.
"Aren't you glad we get to go home now?" Violet asked as she unlocked her car.
I threw my stuff in there and sighed. "Yeah and do I have something to tell you!" I said with excitement filling my body. I didn't think she noticed my moment with Carson when we were out at the field.
She looked at me with gleaming eyes and we leaned against the car to talk before driving off.
"Let me guess, this has to do with Carson?" She asked me like she wasn't surprised.
I nodded. "Vie, he almost kissed me. Well, he kissed my forehead, but still I was on cloud 9." I expressed rethinking about the moment we shared. It was pleasant and I wish I could do it again.
Violet screeched with joy and smiled. "No way, he's never done that before. Do you think he's falling for you?" She started getting ahead of herself, but I didn't blame her.
I shrugged my shoulders. "How I wish, but I think he meant it in a friendly way."
We both sighed with desperation in our tones. All I wanted to do was be back up there with him. We really were having a moment back there and it only got interrupted because we had to go back to class. If only we didn't have anything we needed to do. We could have skipped class for all I cared. I could have looked into those hazel-green eyes all day. Feeling his hands hold mine was amazing. I almost hated myself for even having a crush on him.
After day dreaming about him, our names were called to snap me out of this trance. We turned our heads to see Cole and Carson coming our way. They were both changed in the schools football uniforms which I thought was ugly. Our school colors were yellow and green. Those weren't my favorite colors, but they some how made it look good.
Reaching us, they wore smiles on their faces. I wonder what they were up to this time.
"You guys heading home?" Cole asked us as he put gloves onto his hands.
Violet shrugged. "Eh, something like that." She was flirting with Cole for sure and it seemed like Cole noticed that because he smirked at her like he enjoyed it.
"You guys off to play football?" I decided I'd ask them a dumb question since they asked us one.
Carson laughed. "Isn't it obvious?" He said leaning on the car next to me.
I nodded. "Isn't it obvious we're leaving? I mean we are standing by a car." I retaliated.
Carson stared at me like I made him feel stupid or something. It was my intention, but I didn't think it would work so easily. It was fun messing with them, but honestly if we're standing at car doesn't that tell you we're going home? I mean, common sense would really be useful here. They're lucky they were cute.
Cole laughed and hugged Violet from behind. "Anyway, smart ass, we were thinking after our practice we should all do something."
"For old time sakes." Carson added.
