Chapter 25
Today, I had Carson take me to buy somethings for the party that was in two days. We pretty much put any feelings we had to the side and managed to be out right now like the old times. It was nice spending time with him again since I haven't been able to due to all the cutting off and girlfriends. Our friendship was stronger than ever at this point. It's probably stronger than it ever has been. Seriously, I never been so connected to him the way that I am now. That being said, today was a pretty solid day.
After all the shopping and running around we went back to my house. He was complaining all morning about how hungry he was. His feet were killing him apparently and he just wouldn't shut up. So of course I let him in without hesitation. Anything to get him to shut up plus, I didn't want him to leave yet. Even though we were just supposed to be friends, nothing was going to stop me from remembering all the things we've shared over this break.
I made him a sandwich and got him some water to drink while he sat down exhausted. It was honestly funny that he was so tired. I should be the one that was exhausted. He barely even moved an inch while we were out. All he did was suggest like 1 or 2 things and moped around the whole time. He also drove, but that's not bad either. He was such the drama queen sometimes.
He bit into the sandwich and rolled his eyes in the back of his head like he was in heaven or something. "Wow, babe, you sure do make a good sandwich." He continued to stuff his face.
I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Please, it's just a sandwich you drama queen and stop calling me babe." That I didn't mean, but he did need to stop doing it.
Literally, that sandwich was gone in less than 2 minutes and he was bringing the plate over to the sink. "Mm, no can do, babe." He winked at me with a smirk on his face.
I nudged him away, but I was smiling on the inside. "I'm serious, Carson. I'm not your girlfriend." I reminded him.
"Not physically and theres no title, but mentally I'd say you are."
"You make no sense." I laughed, walking away as the doorbell ringed.
Lately a lot of stuff has been happening with the doorbell. I wouldn't be surprised if something else crazy was going to happen. It always seemed to go wrong when I was around Carson. It was like the universe didn't want us to be happy while we were together. There always had to be a curve ball thrown our way. Even if we were just with each other as friends something went completely wrong.
As I opened the door, I looked and I was surprised, scared, happy, and nervous all in one. I can't believe Wyatt was back. He was back so early. I thought he wasn't coming back until New Years day. The fact that he was back now was so shocking. Carson was over here too so that wasn't exactly how I wanted to be seeing him back here. Nonetheless, I was happy he was home. Now he could come to the party.
Wyatt was standing in the door way with flowers in his hand and a bag. He wore a bright smile on his face and I couldn't help but smile back at him. Honestly, it was the cutest thing ever, but I felt bad because of the things he doesn't know about. Would he ever know, probably not. Ugh, I was such a bad person sometimes.
I smiled and hugged him back, but not too much. "Wyatt, I wasn't expecting you back here until New Years day." I said letting him go.
"I told you that, but it was a lie. I wanted to surprise you." He said handing me the flowers.
They were so pretty and smelled so good. I was joking when I told him to bring me back a present. Of course, this was Wyatt we were dealing with here. If I knew him, I knew he was going to bring something back to me. Even if it was something as small as flowers. You can always count on him to be full of surprises. Only, his mood sort of changed once he seen Carson come through.
