Chapter 27
It was the night of the party and we had about an hour before it actually started. Everyone was here helping me add final touches except for Wyatt. He went home to go get ready. It will probably take him a good thirty minutes to finish. When it came to him getting ready, he acted like he was woman. Honestly, I was even ready before him and I take a long time myself.
That being said, I was in the living room with Carson as we put the mistletoe up. We had it up right in the middle of the living room where most people will be at. I had the TV set up too so when it was time for the count down will all be ready. I was actually pretty excited for this party shockingly. I never had one at my house before so I was hoping everything went smoothly. Hopefully things don't turn out the way they did yesterday or I'll be in some serious trouble with Wyatt again. Nevertheless, I wore the necklace he got me, but in a shameful way. I didn't deserve it.
As we finished he smiled at me happily and put his hands in his pockets. If I must say he looked really good tonight. He had on his chain, a white tee, and some light wash blue jeans. It was a basic outfit, but he was pulling it off really well. Maybe I was just blindly attracted to him, but either way I was loving it. I was also dressed basically because I wore a simple black, spaghetti strapped dress. It stopped mid thigh, but it worked for me. They way he was eyeing me told me he was checking me out too.
"You're gonna save me a dance tonight?" He asked me biting his lip in the process. It was so damn hot.
I looked at him smugly. "Maybe, but why?" I asked him amused by his little antics.
He stepped closer to me, extending his hand out. "Because it'll be fun. Duh." He said sarcastically.
I just rolled my eyes and took his hand anyway. Next thing I know, we were ballroom dancing around the living room like a bunch of baboons. It was pretty fun though and the boy had some skills up his sleeve. Literally, I couldn't stop laughing and neither could he. We were having another one of our moments and I couldn't deny that I loved it a lot. We've been having more and more of these ever since we told each other how we felt. It was nice to finally be connecting with him on another level.
He spun me out and back around into him. He kept me engulfed in his arms as we both laughed looking at each other intently. I got lost in his eyes and so did he with mine. Things got silent between us and our lips were inches apart. I couldn't kiss him though. I already almost got myself caught with Wyatt, we didn't need anymore accidents happening. Still, I couldn't help being mesmerized by his every glance and every touch. He was literally perfect.
"Did anyone ever tell you how beautiful you are?" He asked giving me a compliment with a smirk on his face.
I smiled, but didn't want to get too carried away. I knew if I did we would end up kissing and I didn't need Wyatt walking in on that. He would be so heartbroken.
"Carson-"
"I know, I know." He rested his forehead on mine, closing his eyes and sighing. "I'll stop." He whispered. I can tell he didn't want to, but he did anyway.
I sighed too closing my eyes as well living for this moment. It killed me that I couldn't just kiss him right here. I had to restrain myself at least for tonight from doing anything with Carson. Though, I fought for this for so long and the fact that I couldn't do anything about it hurt so much. I had to think about Wyatt and the fact that he was still dating the wicked witch. We couldn't keep doing this.
We stayed like that for a good minute or so until I finally turned around towards him. Keeping our foreheads connected, I wrapped my hands around his neck while he grabbed my waist. We were itching to kiss each other and if Violet and Cole hadn't walked in when they did we probably would have. I'm thankful for them honestly.
