Chapter 31

School was back on and I was stressed. Stressed, but happy that Carson and I made things official between us. The ring he gave me was so beautiful I couldn't get enough of staring at it. Every time my eyes glanced in its direction, it would remind me that Carson was finally mine. No Maisie getting in the way with her stupid little antics. Just Carson and I in complete bliss with each other. It took all the drama happening for us to finally get it right. We've come a long way to get to this point.

Still, it wasn't as satisfying as it should have been because somebody was hurt in the end. Wyatt, who I haven't seen all day, was probably still crushed by everything he found out. To top it off, I was still seeing Carson and haven't had the chance to apologize to Wyatt. Though he said he didn't want to be my friend, I was going to apologize nevertheless. He deserved it and deserved better than me. He stuck by my side through all my troubles with Carson. The least I could do is apologize and try to come to a middle ground with him. Now if only he was somewhere to be found.

Lunch time came around and Violet, Cole, Carson and I were headed to the court yard. Carson held my hand on the way which sent butterflies throughout my body. It was hard to enjoy without thinking about Wyatt. Seriously, I needed him to hear me out before I could even think about focusing on Carson. This was all my fault to begin with me and my conscious was eating me up for it. Things were never supposed to happen this way and I needed to find him now.

Carson looked down at me and asked Cole and Violet to walk ahead. He can see something was wrong with me which wasn't out of the ordinary. This was something that couldn't be kept in. There was no way I would be able to carry on like this.

His hands grabbed my shoulders as he gave me a soft smile. "Babe, you've been sulking all day, what's wrong?" He asked me with so much concern.

I shook my head trying to deny it. "I'm fine, really." I didn't want to tell him Wyatt was on my mind.

With the roll of his eyes, he shrugged his shoulders and sighed. "Alright, well I guess we'll just miss lunch until you tell me what the hell is bothering you."

"Are you crazy? I'm hungry!" I yelled which wasn't a lie. Food has been on my mind all day as well.

"Then tell me what the problem is."

I sighed still hesitating to tell him what the problem was. What would he think if I tell him Wyatt was on my mind? Their history was still unclear, but they definitely didn't like each other. Despite the times they've been cordial, there was clear disdain on both ends. It's not even like Wyatt was on my mind because I wanted him back. We just didn't have a proper goodbye nor did he get a proper apology. So why was I so nervous to tell Carson this? I'm sure he would understand where I was coming from.

Even if I told him, it's not like I would be able to find him. Wyatt was missing all day there's no telling where he could be. There was no way I was walking all to his house just to see him. Mainly because I had class and lunch was only 30 minutes. However this day couldn't continue without me speaking to him.

Sighing, I clenched my books that were in my hand and told him the truth. "Okay, I just can't stop thinking about how much I hurt Wyatt. I didn't even get to apologize." I complained.

He nodded his head and kissed my forehead. "Well, why don't you go find him?" He asked me.

I looked at him surprised. "Really? It's okay with you?"

"Savannah, we may not like each other much, but he deserves an apology. From both of us really, but I could never." He admitted.

Giggling, we hugged each other and rushed me off to go find Wyatt. There was no telling where he could have been at. I looked at his locker, then in the cafe and he was nowhere to be found. If he was trying to avoid me he was doing a pretty damn good job. It was like he made himself invisible to slip past me. Of course, with everything that happened it wasn't all that surprising. Being who I am, I didn't give up just yet.
