Chapter 20

Snow. It was actually snowing and it was snowing pretty hard. Luckily Carson and I made it back to the house in time. Violet and Cole made it back just in time too. They had snow all on their clothes as they walked through the door. You can feel how cold it is when the door opened as well. The heat was going to need to be turned up high if we wanted to stay warm. The boys also had a fire place at their house and their parents added firewood so we can light it up. It was going to be another great night.

I helped Violet get her wet clothes off up in Cole's room while the boys lit up the fire place. Who knows what they were talking about down there but, this was my chance to finally talk to Violet alone. It feels like we haven't had girl time in forever. She's been so busy with Cole and I with Carson and Wyatt, there never seemed to be enough time for just us. I missed it.

Closing his door behind us, I crossed my arms and smiled at her. "So, what's up with you and Cole? Anything official yet?" I asked getting comfy on his bed.

She blushed and shook her head. "Oh you know, of course we're not." Her tone screamed disappointment. "I swear that guy is afraid of commitment."

I laughed. "Well, this is Cole we're talking about. He's never been one to commit."

It's true. Of course he dated around and I mean a lot because the relationships never lasted longer than a week with him. Unlike Carson who isn't afraid to commit to anybody. I guess Cole didn't think any of the girls he would date were the one. Definitely they were pretty, but not the one. Unfortunately, he has the one right in front of him, but he won't commit to her. It was strange because he seemed to really like her. He didn't fall for Kora's tricks either. Maybe he was just scared.

On another note, Violet was his best friend. In any case he was probably trying to take things slow so he doesn't ruin what was there from the beginning. In which any case, I don't blame him. I rather they keep their friendship bond than ruin it. We all have too much history to keep letting things get in between us.

She sighed throwing on one of his shirts and basketball shorts. "I know, but ever since he's been back things have been great." She made herself comfortable on the bed as well.

"Don't worry, just give him more time. I can tell he clearly feels the same way." I tried to make her feel better about it.

Shrugging her shoulders, the door burst open and in came Cole and Carson. To my surprise, I received the biggest hug from Carson. It made my body go into shock because I didn't expect that to happen. He literally came in and jumped on me like a sack of potatoes. He was super heavy, but I wasn't exactly going to push him off me. I haven't felt him around me in so long. I couldn't let him go so quickly.

He looked me in the eyes and a smirk came across his face. That smirk always made my heart melt. What the hell was I doing? This shouldn't be happening right now, especially with Wyatt not here. I couldn't help myself though. It was like I put myself in an awkward position. I was sort of committed to Wyatt, but we weren't. It all still felt wrong. Carson just had my heart regardless of the circumstances. Boy, if Maisie found out she would kill me.

His lips connected with my forehead as he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. The way his fingers glided down my cheek made me freeze up. It was obvious we were both having a moment here. Of course, it wouldn't last long considering Cole and Violet were in here. Plus, we needed to get out of this. He had a girlfriend and I had some kind of thing going on with Wyatt. It wasn't fair to them. Well, it wasn't fair to Wyatt, I don't care about Maisie's feelings.

"I missed you." He said softly snuggling up against me. His head rested on my chest as his arms were wrapped behind me.

I rolled my eyes and played in his curly hair. "Please, I seen you all day." I smudged his face a little and he laughed.
