Morning after

I woke up with the sun shining through the blinds. Damn my head hurts. I reached for my phone and it was gone ten. Fuck. I pulled up a text and text Kerri
Me: Hey, are you still here?
She text back right away
Kerri: Yeah I'm in the kitchen with Dave, Luke is outback with Caroline and the boys. Come down 😀
Me: I will be down in ten make me a coffee please 😫
Kerri: Late night???
Me: Kinda, but I was good lol.
Kerri: You better had. See you in a bit 👍🏻
I threw my clothes on a tied my hair up in a messy bun and made my way downstairs. Kerri was telling the truth it was just her and Dave in the kitchen
"Hey" I said waking in and sitting down
"Morning, here is your coffee. You look rough" she laughed
"Yeah should have just went to bed when y'all did. When are we going I So need a shower"
"Drink your coffee I need to speak to Luke and then we can say our goodbyes ok" she said walking out back.
The squeals of the boy was like fingernails on a blackboard. I winced at the sound. Dave said
"I have some Advil in the truck I will go get you some"
"Thank you so much. Not used to drinking so much" I laughed
I was sitting rubbing my finger around the rim of the coffee cup daydreaming about last night when I was brought back to earth by Caroline
"Penny for your thoughts" she laughed
"I'm just struggling" I laughed. I didn't really wanna tell her I was daydreaming about her husband
"You will get used to it, especially working for Luke" she smiled
"I'm sure Kerri will keep me busy keep me away from the alcohol" I said returning the smile
"Keep telling yourself that honey. So you want some painkillers" she asked
"I'm ok Dave is just getting me some"
Just at that he cane back and handed me two pills. I knocked them back with my coffee
"Thank you" I said
Just at that Kerri walked in with Luke
"Baby Tate is looking for you" he said walking up to Caroline and kissing her.
"Ok. It was nice to meet you Lexi we should do this again sometime" she smiled walking towards the patio doors.
Could I come here again, Hell can I actually work with guy. We obviously have chemistry or I think we do. But he is one married and two my boss.
"Yeah definitely" I said as she went outside.
"So Lexi y'all ready for Monday, Kerri has my schedule so I'm sure we will bump in one another soon" he said smiling. Bastard he knows what he is doing.
"Yeah I'm sure we will. Kerri y'all ready" I said
"Yeah, Luke I will email you those things we discussed and I will see you tomorrow at the office" she said
"Definitely, Oh and Lexi, do you like your new place"
"Yeah it's fantastic, thank you so much it's beautiful" I blushed
We walked towards the door and Luke was behind me really close
"You will need to give me tour sometime" he whispered into my ear as he walked past.
