Just a small town girl

Dinner

We where only 5 minutes late when we arrived at the restaurant.
"Do you mind if I just leave your guys to have dinner alone, I have a few things I need to catch up on since you keep distracting me" I said as we got to the restaurant. Luke looked at me and said
"You sure, what you going to do for dinner"
"I will grab a McDonald's or something and I will meet you at the Charity thing tonight" I smiled
"I don't want you going around here on your own"
"Luke I will be fine, now go on and have fun ok"
He opened the door and stroked my leg
"Be careful ok"
"Yes" I smiled
He closed the door and I watched him walk inside. The real reason I didn't want to go in my I didn't want to see Katy be all flirty with him and for me to keep my mouth closed. I told the driver to take me to the closest McDonalds. Just as I'm the car pulled away I got a text from Luke
Luke: 😉
I smiled he is such an idiot.
Me: don't be late you need to be there for 630, I will have a car pick you up and I will meet you there 😁
He didn't reply back so I popped my phone in my bag and went about what I needed to do.

Luke's PoV

I put my phone in my pocket as I entered the restaurant. I was a little annoyed that Lexi didn't come with me to the restaurant and I can bet it has something to do with Katy. As I got it Katy and Lionel where already at the table
"Ah nice of you to turn up" Katy laughed
"I was struggling to find something to wear, didn't want to put shine you darlin'" I said kissing her cheek
"Luke buddy, good to see you" Lionel said shaking my hand.
I sat down and ordered a beer
"So where's Kerri" Katy asked
"She is back in Tennessee"
"Oh so Caroline has let you loose on your own" she smiled
"No, I'm here with Lexi, Kerri's assistant, she is busy getting the venue ready for my charity event tonight" I said
"Oooo Lionel Luke's all alone" she laughed
"Leave him alone" Lionel laughed
We chatted and had some food it was good to catch up.
"So Luke this charity event do you have room for two little ducks" Katy said flickering her eyelashes at me.
I couldn't exactly say no these where my co workers.
"Sure I will just text Lexi and get your names on the list" I said pulling my phone out.
Me: Hey Lexi, can you add Lionel and Katy to the list for tonight please 😉
She responded right away
Lexi: K
Great now she's pissed.
"That's it sorted guys, the car will be here in five to pick us up"
