Sometimes you need to confide

"Lexi I'm back" I heard Maddy say.
I was laying in bed, I hadn't slept well at all last night every time I tried to fall asleep all I saw was Luke's face as I asked him to leave.
She came bounding through the door
"Oh my god Lexi you missed a great night, well until Luke and Caroline had an almighty argument" she said
I sat up
"What happened" I asked
"Hey back from getting beer and seemed upset. He started doing shots and got a little drunk fast. He then started yelling at Caroline about ruining his life. I was really awkward. Kerri has to take the boys to her house and I just went to my room and locked the door."
Fuck that must have been because I told him to leave and go and be with his wife and to completely forget anything we had together. I said she is the one who made him happy. 
I started crying, causing Maddy to rush over and hug me.
"Lexi what's wrong, why are you crying"
"It's all my fault." I sobbed
"How is it your fault Lexi"
"Maddy can I tell you something but I need you not to judge me and promise not to fall out with me. Your my best friend in the whole world" I said
"Lexi your scaring me just tell me. I promise I won't judge you"
I took a deep breathe and just said it
"I have been sleeping with Luke"
The color drained from her face
"What, what do you mean Lexi" she said
"We have been having an affair. I'm not proud but it just happened" I said as the tears fell
"Oh Lexi don't cry" she said giving me a tight hug
"The fight was my fault. He was here last night and I broke it off with him. The reason I left was that he fucked Caroline when he knew fine well I was in the room" I sobbed
"Whoa back up, when did this happen"
"I went up to the bathroom and he pulled me into his bedroom. We where kissing and we heard Caroline calling him so I hid in his closet. She was coming in to him wanting a quickie and he did. I had to listen to her moan, while I was hiding. It was horrible Maddy"
"Oh my god that is totally out of order. No wonder you are upset. But on the other hand he was maybe trying to not make her suspicious" she said
"That's not the point. He knew and that's what hurts Maddy. I feel like absolute shit. He came over and tried to explain that he blacked out and pretended it was me. He knows he messed up, but what do I do."
"That explains why he looked so upset and hit the whisky,"
"Good I hope his heart is breaking as much as mine"
"You have feelings for him don't you"
"No don't be stupid"
"Lexi I haven't seen you this cut up over a guy since Tyler and he was your everything"
"I'm just mad at him. I have got myself in to a situation and I'm so glad I I can talk to you about it"
"Lexi you can talk to me about anything ok. So what you going to do" she asked
"I told him to get out and it was over. I also said I was going to had my notice in and I was going back to Georgia"
"What you can't do that. Look at this place and you love your job. When does he go on tour?"
"He said he wouldn't except it. He goes on Monday but I have to go in two weeks time to relieve Kerri".
"Let him stew, try and keep your distance and when you go and join him you need to talk this through."
"Ok." I smiled
"Good now come on get up and get washed we are going to have some fun. Oh and I promise I won't mention him all weekend but can I ask just one thing" she smiled
"Yeah"
"How is he in bed" she laughed
I looked at her and smiled remembering the night before last
"Absolutely Fantastic, he knows what he is doing, the best I have ever had"
"Do you see yourself forgiving him because what I can see you are smitten"
"I hope so but right now I hate him"
