"I just need to do this" Luke said as he crashed his lips to mine.
"Luke what the fuck" I said pulling away and pushing him backwards. "Your fucking married and my boss"
He looked in complete shock
"Lexi I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have done that" he said as he walked to the door
"Luke shouldn't we talk about what just happened" I said
"I don't think now is the best time" he said opening the door just as Kerri was about to walk in
"Oh hi Luke" she said looking suspiciously between us.
"Hey I'm just on my way. I was just calling in to see how the move was going, I can't stay Caroline is waiting on me" he said as he walked out.
I watched at he went outside
"What was that all about" Kerri said
"As he said he popped in to see how the move was going. He also said you have something to tell me" I said hoping she did because I just made that up.
"Oh yeah, Luke has an interview in LA next week and I really need you to go with him because I can't I have an appointment I can't get out of and he really needs someone to look after things out there cos I swear he would mess it up royally" she laughed
Fuck I can't say no it's my job
"Yeah no problem at all just give me the itinerary and I will sort everything out. How long will we be gone and what about everything here" I asked
"3 days max and then back here. His tour kicks off in a months time so we will be on the road a lot. Y'all ok with that"
"Brilliant" I smiled
"You will get for spend time with lover boy" she laughed
"What Nothing is going on" I stuttered
"Like hell there ain't Ethan follows you like a little puppy, he will be lost when your in LA" she smiled
"Kerri there is nothing going on with Ethan and I" I said walking into the kitchen. I needed a drink
"Keep telling yourself that sweetheart" she laughed
What I really wanted to tell her was that Ethan is not the one who makes by speakers go boom boom. Pardon the pun.
"Do you want some wine" I asked
"Yeah go on, Dave can pick me up in the way home from work"
A few hours later we had got a good amount of the boxes cleared and we had polished off two bottles of wine. Kerri's phone rang
"It's Dave" she said showing me the screen. She answered as she walked into the kitchen. A few minutes later she returned
"He will be here in five mins. I better get my things. Thanks for the drink and I will see you on Monday and we can go over the trip" she said giving me a drunken hug.
I walked her to the door and stood until she got into the car. Waving her off I closed the door and slid down it. Damn what an eventful day I laughed to myself. Just as I was about to get up the door knocked. What has she forgot now. I got up an opened the door and standing on the door step wa stage last person I was expecting
