True to his word he text me when he got on the flight and from the tone of it he was still annoyed with me, but that's how me and him ended up with him cheating on his wife. I threw my phone on the sofa and tucked my legs under myself just as Maddy came back with pizza. "What's up?" She asked "Luke's still annoyed at me." "I'm sure he will be fine. Just let him contact you make him sweat" she laughed That's what I decided to do. We had a laughed and a few glasses of wine and we went to bed for work tomorrow morning. All was quiet on the western front with regards to Caroline, she was bound to have had been served by now. I pushed that though to the back of my head and pulled on one of Luke's shirts and crawled into bed. Still nothing from Luke. I must have been more tired than I though because the next thing I knew it was morning. I grabbed for my phone still nothing from that stubborn ass but there was a text from an unknown number. I opened it and I was a picture of Luke lying sleeping and the comment Unknown: 🤔🤔 I got up and ran straight to the bathroom and emptied the whole contents of my stomach. How could he do this to me he hasn't even been gone a fucking day. I turned on the shower and stood there as the hot water washed my tears down the drain. When I came back out I had a missed call from Luke and a text message Luke: Hey baby sorry I never called night I so so tired. I missed you xx What the actual fuck I thought. How can he act like he hasn't done anything. I don't even reply I'm that mad. I make my way downstairs to Maddy making coffee "Whoa ain't even going to ask if you need this. I take it you and Luke made up over the phone" she smiled handing me a coffee. I took one sip and ran to the bathroom. "Lexi what's wrong" she asked I took out my phone and showed her the text "Aww Lexi have you spoke to him" "Nope he text me the morning like nothing." "Don't you recognise the number, it could be someone messing with you." She said "Well I can't deal with shit at the moment we need to get to work. I will forward him the picture when I get to work" I said Getting to work was horrendous this morning there was an accident on the I65 which caused tailbacks and Luke was blowing up my phone. I didn't want to get into it while I was driving and with Maddy in the car, "You need to speak to him Lexi" "I know just scared of the outcome is all" I pulled into the parking garage and Maddy said she would head in and get started and I was to text Luke. She was such a blessing. I pulled up the the text and hit forward, adding my own comment
