She laid in their bed with the crying girl against her chest.
"If you tell me what happen, I may be able to help."
"I stayed after school for play practice."
"Yeah I know, remember I signed the permission form."
"I don't want to go anymore!"
Jasmine started to sob as Tanner panicked.
"Baby, what happened?"
"They all laughed at me! They called me names!"
"Oh sweetheart, the only reason they did those things is because they're jealous of how amazing my little girl is. She's so positive, beautiful, and so smart. You're so much like you mom it's scary."
"Really?"
"Yeah you're just like your mom."
"It hurts."
"I know but you are going to show them that you're better then them."
"They said they'd hurt me!"
"I'll teach you how to fight, alright? If you weren't 10 I'd give you a gun but I don't think that's appropriate."
Jasmine giggled a little before shifting to look at Tanner.
"Did you ever get made fun of?"
"No, I was the bully."
"Why?"
"I was jealous of their lives. My dad was a bad guy. My mom was dead and my dad hurt me at home, they all had better lives then I did. So naturally I wanted one."
"Did you every hit someone?"
"I've hit a lot of people but I've always had a reason. One time I knocked out the quarterback because he said something about my mom."
"Well then he deserved it!"
"That's what I thought too, but his friends didn't."
"What happened?"
"I took a 4 hour long beating by the entire football team. I had to crawl to someone's car and wait for them to come back outside to it. When they took me to the hospital they asked me what happened and I said I didn't remember. After that I got really aggressive towards almost anyone. I hit a teacher once, he touched my thigh. I knocked his teeth down his throat."
"Wow. Will you teach me?"
"You have to promise me that you'll only fight if you have to. I don't want you to use it to hurt undeserving people."
"I promise, Momma."
"Alright, lets go see how Danny's doing."
Mac and Danny were asleep in her bed. The short haired girl held Danny close to her chest.
"They're cute."
Delicate arms wrapped around Tanner's waist.
"Not when our little girl cries over her."
"You lied about the biggest thing in our lives and I still forgave you."
"This is different."
"It's not. They are just a younger version of us."
"I wouldn't cheat on someone I love."
"But you'd lie."
Autumn dropped her arms from Tanner's waist before heading towards the kitchen.
