"Guess what!"
The family sat around the dinner table with their attention on Jasmine.
"What, Princess?"
Tanner already knew what the excitement was about but she let Jasmine have her moment.
"I got the lead! Isn't that awesome, I'm the star!"
"Of course you are, Jas."
Danny rolled her eyes before Mac elbowed her to cut it out.
Jasmine's excitement dropped at Danny's reaction.
"I think this calls for some celebratory ice cream, don't you think babe?"
The tattooed girl nodded her head as she silently watch the younger girl.
"Sure does."
"Maybe some other time."
The little girl put her plate in the sink before going to her room and shutting the door.
"You could have just said good job. She doesn't care about anyone's reaction but yours, Danny. Use your head next time."
Tanner threw her napkin on the table before going to Jasmines room.
"Hey princess."
"Go away."
"You know I'm not going to do that."
She sat beside the crying girl who was curled up in a ball.
"Why was she mean?"
"Danny doesn't mean it. She's just not use to you doing things on your on own. You've always depended on her, now you depended on yourself, mom and I. It's hard for her to see that you're growing up. Now how about mom and I take you to get some ice cream and you can tell us all about it."
"Just us?"
"Just us, kid."
"Okay."
Tanner kissed the girl's forehead before heading to the kitchen.
"She stopped crying so I told her we'd go for ice cream."
"My purse is upstairs."
"I have my wallet."
Jasmine came down the stairs in one of Tanner sweatshirt that was way too big for her.
"Well don't you just look beautiful."
"The sleeves are a little big."
Autumn rolled up the sleeves so they fit the little girl's arms better.
"It's okay I have to roll them up too."
She bent down and kissed the little girl's cheek before taking Tanner's hand.
"So when's your first show?"
"In 3 weeks!"
The little girl's excitement returned as she ate her vanilla ice cream.
"How many shows are there?"
"5."
"Are you n-"
"Excuse me, Ma'am?"
"What can I do for you?"
Tanner straightened her posture as she watched the waitress.
"I know this is inappropriate but I just wanted to say that you have a beautiful family."
"We really appreciate that, we don't always get the positive comments."
"I totally understand my girlfriend and I don't either."
They sat in the dimly lit theater watching their youngest daughter preform.
"Why is she actually good?"
"Because she worked hard."
"You're right."
Tanner kissed her wife's cheek before taking her hand.
"How many more of these do we have to sit through?"
"3 more babe."
"You realize that instead of being here to support her sister, Danny and Mac are having sex in our house."
"Tanner stop it."
"It's true and you know it. We could be at home in our bed."
"It's your daughter's solo scene get sex out of your mind."
"Alright fine."
Autumn rested her hand on Tanner's thigh before kissing her lips.
"I'll make it up to you later if you behavior."
"That doesn't help."
"You're ridiculous."
Autumn softly laughed before kissing her wife's lips again.
"It's hard when my wife is super hot."
"Shut up and watch."
"We have already seen this."
"Do you remember how it ends?"
"Well, no."
"Then watch it, so when Jas asks you questions you can actually answer them."
They watched as the young boy handed their daughter the single rose.
"Aw look at them."
"She is 10."
"He just gave her a rose, chill out."
Tanner huffed before putting a smile on her face, slightly bending her knees to the boys height.
"I'm Jasmine's Momma and that her mom."
Tanner point behind her to her wife that was talking to the boys parents.
"I'm Adam."
"Well Adam it's great to meet you."
