Last night with Kyrie was amazing, we had a blast at the Christmas party Tay even made sure we got wrist bands for us to drink since we weren't old enough and the bartenders were IDing. Tay really went all out on this Christmas party, not only did she invite the other tattoo shops around the city and local popular artist both underground and known but she had the party like Oakland's BET Awards for tattoo artist. Not only did artist from our shop receive awards but other artist as well. There was food catered from the popular soul food restaurant downtown called Sweetie Pie's along with an open bar.
During dinner the awards were given out, I was shocked to receive an award because I really didn't expect it. They had me up there crying, the speech David and Tay gave before announcing my name was genuinely heart felt. Along with my award I was given a promotion and a raise, which we'd be discussing after Christmas and goes into effect the first of the year. After dinner, we partied all night long having a blast and not leaving the venue until almost 3 a.m. Kyrie and I complimented each other very well, everyone thought he was my boyfriend and I had been hiding him. I told them it wasn't even like that but as soon as it is they'd be the first to know.
They really liked Kyrie too, thinking he was the most hilarious thing with hi joking about me denying him constantly when they said I was hiding him and that I was still doing it in his face tonight. He's really a clown but I enjoyed his company last night, we had great conversation and I laughed so much y stomach hurt. Before bringing me back home, we stopped at Waffle House for a bite to eat and more conversations. Neither of us wanted to end the night, Kyrie made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world last night I blushed, smiled and laughed so much my cheeks hurt.
I haven't talked to him today though, it was Christmas Eve and they still had practice but they would be off tomorrow for Christmas and the next day which is Thursday before the big game. He did text me this morning, I'm guessing when he got up for practice since it was around seven thirty though I'm just receiving it and waking up at damn near twelve o'clock. Texting him back though he probably won't see it until their lunch break, I decided I'd take him and Keon lunch they recently started practice like an hour or two ago so they'd be going on lunch in two more around three o'clock if I'm not mistaking.
Getting out the bed, I went into the bathroom starting the shower before brushing my teeth. Stripping down completely naked, I take along much needed shower because last night when I got in I got straight in the bed not even taking off my makeup only my suit jacket and pants. After a long hot shower, I slipped on some sweet pants and a Cali hoodie with some slides. I didn't fell like getting dressed, especially since I'd be dressing up again tonight. Every year since middle school my siblings and I would go out for a nice dinner, over the years when we made good friend you know the ones like family that we all knew and loved we made it a huge annual dinner. Last year, we went all out renting avenue, getting food catered and inviting our parents as well since they always complained because we wouldn't allow them to come only drop us off at whatever venue or restaurant.
