I was up early the next morning taking my sister to school, she's missed the bus again.. I'm convinced she just doesn't wanna get up that early. Especially since she was up when I went into her room.
My sister goes to the same high school as I did, but my brother goes to North Oakland High School for sports otherwise my mom would've sent him to school with us. My sister is a freshmen since her birthday is late and she majors in theatre, my little aspiring actress and my brother is the sports star playing football, basketball and running track! He's a junior and he's had scouts looking at him since freshmen year, he's really a triple threat great in all sports he plays.
Kierra misses the bus at least twice a week in the mornings, but I don't mind most times I just go to the morning dance classes before going to the studio or taking my sister and Haley to lunch. This morning is no different, Haley will have to drive them tho because I'm heading to the studio right after lunch. I think my moms off today so she'll pick my brother and sister up from practices, I'm gonna fill out a few applications at the mall too since that's usually where we go to lunch.
I was now dressed in a sports bra and matching leggings "Let's go Kierra!" I yell up the stairs "Cominggggg!" She says coming out of her room. It was now 7:15 and we had time to get breakfast and still make it by 7:50 if the lines weren't too bad. I decided pick up donuts so that I can take Haley two to her class and have some for my dance instructors. I don't call before coming but they don't mind because I always bring breakfast and usually end up taking over class for them after warm up.
Parking in the front of the school, we went into the office so that I could sign her in and get a visitors pass. Greeting the ladies in the office "Kehlani you know you don't need a pass, go ahead girl" they wave me off. "Call me at lunch" I kiss her forehead as she goes to class and I text Haley telling her to meet me outside her class as I head up the stairs.
"Kierra is always missing the bus, but thank you! I was starving" she says laughing "Right! Before I got my car she never missed it" I laugh "We on for lunch? It's on me" she says as I nod. Walking off as she went into her class, I kind of miss this place but I don't miss the work or getting up everyday to come here. Going into the dance studio I see some of my classmates stretching, meaning class hasn't started yet.
They usually give us about 15 minutes to get changed and ready since the class is only ninety minutes long, and 15 minutes to change back after class of over. But most of us would have to get passed for class because of strict teachers and class always running over. We had a male instructor and two female instructors, Mr Jernigan was my favorite and them Ms Christina. I didn't care too much for Mrs. Shawl so I didn't attend her classes when I'd stop by, they were in the afternoon anyway.
"Good morning" I said after knocking on the open door "Hi Lani" Jernigan says from his computer desk "Hey boo" Christina says as I sat on her desk "Breakfast?" I place the box of donuts down and drinks "You joining my class today?" He asks grabbing a donut "Mhm" I hum setting my stuff down. Christina and Jernigan shared a studio and office space, splitting the days and sharing classes Friday's while Mrs Shawl was in her own studio around the corner. Everyone had a problem with her for one reason or another.
