Chapter 26: Taken

"Love is.. Something different for everybody. For most demons its lust not love. Love isn't always the sweetest because it can also mean pain. I can't give you a complete answer because myself am I demon so I don't have much experience with 'love' but rather lust. To be completely honest I don't think love is real at all but most humans do. Let me insure you though there is no such thing as a soul mate."

"I see.. Well thanks? Wait was that a joke? Soul mates? Because you eat souls?"

"Maybe.."

I laughed. "Well I better get going."

"Yes, its quite late. Should I walk you back?"

"No I'll be ok."

"I see well be careful."

"Success!" I ran out the tent not giving him enough time to ask what that was about. 'I mean when will you even hear a demon telling you to be careful out of their own will? Seriously.' While walking back I spotted Joker on a horse.

"Hello Joker is everything ok?"

"Yes, I was just looking for 'ee."

"Why me?"

"Ah.. Just to give 'ee this." Joker took out a black rose and gave it to me.

"Thank you! I love this type of flower they are rare and smell great." I smelled the flower and suddenly felt drowsier.

" 'Ee ok Moon?"

"Just a bit tired is all.. I should get going."

"Im sorry Moon it was either you or another innocent child.." After hearing those final words I passed out.

I awoke inside a cage in a dark room. 'This is just like when...' But no. This time I was alone. I stood up and to my surprise there wasn't any cuffs around my wrist or ankles but on my wings. Good thing I can make them disappear Eh? But before I did that.

"Oh you're awake?"

"...."

"Fine fine don't answer."

"..."

"We will have so much fun again!"

"Again?"

"Did you really think I has helping you only to die?"

'Who the hell is this guy and what is he talking about?'

"That was all a plan to see if you would survive... Girlie."

"COWARD! Turn on the lights so I can face you!"

"Mm? Do you really want to?"

"Yes!"

"Alright then." The lights turned on and I saw that man again. His dirty blond hair and crazed eyes. The next thing I noticed was all the children and it made me sick to my stomach. Their eyes were just dull.. They weren't screaming.. Just sitting there.

"Did you do this? The missing children?"

"Oh no that wasn't me. I only joined him because he had a history with your brother and it would lead me back to you."

"Ill escape!"

"Try. I unblocked those powers and I could lock them back up."

"What are you?"

"Mm.. Not sure.. Believe in angels? Of course you live with a demon. I'm not an angel though but another demon."

"What is your name so when I get out of here I can kill you..."
