I sat at the bar, laughing with Otis. A drink sat in front of me as I faced Otis. It was so much fun to sit there with Otis, laughing so much my stomach hurt.

"So, Voyager or DS9?" Otis asked.

"DS9, for sure," I replied. "Voyager comes in close for second. DS9 certainly has a place in my heart."

Otis took a sip from his drink. "Who's your favorite character?"

I took a sip from my drink. "I'd have to say . . . probably Dax. Bashir is a close second."

Otis smirked. "Which Dax?"

"All these questions, goddamn!" I exclaimed, winking at him. "I'd have to say Jadzia. She's pretty funny. Ezra is alright, though she's not like Jadzia."

Otis smiled, an almost loving look in his eyes. "You're perfect, Guadalupe. I hope you're planning on staying around for a while because I want to stay with you."

I smiled, blushing. "I . . . I do plan on staying. And I wouldn't describe myself as perfect. I'm just . . . me. I'm just Guadalupe."

"That's you being perfect," Otis said. "I think you're beautiful."

I sipped my drink, trying not to smile. "Thanks. I'm hoping this continues because I'm catching things."

Otis leaned in close. "I sure hope so."

"Granted, I'm not so sure about those things," I said, stirring my drink. "I never thought I'd find someone but you came along. I don't know if it's just my heart playing with me but it seems right. Don't you know?"

Otis nodded. "Yeah, I do. I feel the exact same. Let's continue this thing and see how it's goes."

I sipped my drink, meeting Otis's gaze. "What's it like around the firehouse? I want to know what to expect."

Otis went into a long-winded explanation about how the firehouse worked. It was nice to know all the details.

Later that night, I yawned. "I think it's about time for me to head home. I'm tired and I have work tomorrow."

Otis nodded. "Of course. I'll walk you out."

We stood up and I grabbed Otis's hand. He smiled at me as we left. I led him to where I parked my car and I looked at him.

"This is me," I said.

Otie glanced at my car. "I didn't know you lived in a car."

I laughed. "Whatever. I'll see you tomorrow."

Otis nodded and almost turned away but leaned in. He kissed me gently and hesitantly at first. I kissed back and grabbed the back of his neck. He grabbed my face and I could feel my heart flutter.

I pulled away, breathless. "I'll see you later, yeah?"

Otis nodded, breathing heavily. "Yeah, yeah, I'll see you then."

I got into my car and drove off. I couldn't help but smile. Otis was so cute and so perfect for me. I got home and slipped out of my clothes. I often walked around my apartment with nothing but my underwear on.

I started playing music and singing at the top of my lungs. I sat in the living room, watching YouTube videos. After getting bored and tired, I went to my bedroom and fell asleep.
