Seeing that the day was just beginning I put the groceries away, went into my bedroom, and turned on the TV to play some games to take my mind off of things. As I was playing the new hero game that came out, I received a text from Kirishima. Though I don't talk to anyone from my years at UA, Kirishima kind of found some steady ground for him to talk to me and it even came to the point that he started visiting me. I paused the game to read his message since his was spamming to get my attention.
" Alright Kiri, you win."
I picked up my phone and swiped to the left for it to open. I went to the messaging app and read the texts.
" Hey Bakugou, I had just finished my shift at the job and I'm close by so I'll be at your place in 5."
" B."
" A."
" K."
" U."
" G."
" O."
" U."
" Shut up already! It's not like I get a say in this either way! "
I turned my phone off and un-paused my game to continue where I left off so I could clear the level before Kirishima showed up. In about five minutes time Kiri was at my door and letting himself in with my spare key. I've been stuck with him constantly looking after me since Deku's funeral, but he's nice company when I need it. I could hear him walking around for a bit but eventually he came into my room only to see me sitting against my bed in the dark room. I heard him sigh but I could tell he was wearing his small smile, he always wears a smile on his face when he's with me. I asked him why he smiled all the time but he said that it was his way of trying to make me feel better. Like he'd understand the shit I'm going through, I'm the one who killed his friend.
" It's awfully dark in here Bakugou, at least open the curtains." Kirishima walked over to my window and opened the curtains a bit.
My eyes narrowed from the sudden rush of light but they soon got adjusted to it. I groaned and got up to close them again.
" Keep them shut Kiri, it's too bright outside."
" You're starting to sound like a vampire dude, but I wouldn't mind though if you drank my blood that is." The annoying red head started laughing hysterically before calming down and clearing his throat, " Seems as though you already went outside anyway, there are new bags and cans in the cabinets and fridge."
" What are, my supervisor?! Do I need permission to leave when I need food?!"
" That's not what I'm saying at all... Look everyone is worried about you, I'm worried about you." The next thing Kirishima had said crossed the line, " I don't want to say this but, Bakugou, it's time to let him go. His death is only dragging you down."
I grit my teeth so hard it felt like they would break if I used any more force. I glared at him and stood up to stand in front of him, and by sheer instinct I roughly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pushed him against the wall.
" I dare you to repeat what you had just said!!! Say it again I dare you!!!"
" Alright fine, you heard me! You need to let Deku go! It's the only way the both of you can move on!"
