I had made it to a hospital and was waiting for someone to come and admit him and I. Eventually, a doctor had come up to me and brought a group of nurses and a gurney. I helped them place Deku onto the thing, after which, we headed for the room we'd be in.
As we made our way for the room, the doctor started talking to me.
" I'm Julia Gardener and I'll be taking care of you and the hero Deku while you're here. So, can you tell me what happened? Did he break something?"
" No. We just came from fighting Shigaraki, and afterwards, Deku just collapsed."
" Has he said anything, be it in a daze or fully awake, after he collapsed?"
" ... My name..."
" Was that it?"
I nodded.
" Alright, well here we are. I'll check him out first, so I'll be with you in a bit."
" I'm fine, don't worry about me. Focus everything on him, please."
" ... Very well."
After that, she got to work. She checked his temperature, his pulse, his reactions, everything. He seemed to do well on those small tests, but his complexion looked awful. A deathly pale.
" I'm going to do a few blood tests, but if anything he needs blood. Emilia! Did the blood donors take all we had?"
" Yes ma'am!"
" Well shoot, we're out of blood."
" Use mine." I spoke monotonously.
" I would, but I don't know how much he'd need."
" Just do it!"
She hesitated, but she started getting the supplies needed to give the nerd my blood. As she was busy getting the equipment, I went over the bed Deku was in and crawled into it. I laid him on my lap after I embraced him. During which, I felt a tear fall down my cheek. I looked around and found a bedside table with cleaning medicines and wipes, so I grabbed some and cleaned up Deku's face as it had blood dried up on his cheeks and from his head.
" You must really care for him, huh, Katsuki?"
" ... He's everything to me; he's the love of my life."
" I bet he'd love to hear that from you." I looked up to Julia to see her smiling face.
I chuckled a bit and ended up wearing a small smile myself. Julia came up to us and hooked me up to him before finishing up the rest to start the transfusion. Once she finished, Julia flipped a switch and I began to feel my blood leave my arm. I watched as it went through the tube and into Deku's arm, thus entering his body.
I sighed a sigh of relief and leaned back against the backboard of the hospital bed, bringing Deku up to lay on my chest, nestling with him even tighter.
TIME SKIP
A few weeks went by, and I was going day by day to work and school, while Deku remained in the hospital. The doctors said that he had been overly stressed and got no sleep for a long period of time, hence the reason he's still in the hospital. I go to visit him whenever I get the chance, and during those visits I feel like I'm talking to a wall. I bring him flowers, his All Might action figures, get well cards; all of this when I'm full aware that he won't wake up anytime soon.
His mother is there every time I go to visit; it's as if she lives in that hospital room now. Every now and then, my own parents will go to visit, as I've seen them a couple times before, and then there's our classmates. Todoroki doesn't go, and when I asked why he simply said he didn't feel it's was his right after what he did to the both of us. I could understand, so I didn't bother him about it after that. Everyone else though, they visit in rotation, and sometimes All Might comes to see him.
Unlike the rest, All Might and I seem a bit hopeful that he'll wake up. I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that, and I'm glad that All Might is here to support the both of us.
Sometimes when I visit, Juli will come into the room and talk with me to try and distract me from the gloominess of the situation, and I have to thank her for that.
So today was like any other day on the weekend. I was heading to the hospital to visit Deku, but I was stopped by someone. I looked down as they were shorter than me, and when I saw they're face I was flabbergasted.
" K-Kira?!"
" ... Bakugou, right?"
I didn't know what to say to her so I simply nodded to her question.
" I have to apologize for my big brother's actions... and for keeping information from you..."
" What do you mean?" I finally formulated a response.
" ... I know that you were brought back in time... and it's because... I was the one who did it..."
" Y-you what? You were the one who did it?" I crouched down to talk with her.
" ... Y-yes... time reversal is my true quirk, my big brother gave me his in order to protect myself... If I feel empathy for someone and look at them in the eyes, I can send them back in time to their greatest source of empathy... I do this so that they can live happy lives... of course... I could use this quirk for heroism as well if I were to catch a villain..."
" Indeed you could. Kira, thank you. Thank you for bringing me back here."
I carefully and gently brought her in for a quick embrace before I let her go and stood up with a smile. Before I started for the hospital again, Kira grabbed hold of my hand holding me back.
" He'll wake up tonight, so be by his side when he does."
" I will! Thank you!"
She let me go and I broke into a run for the hospital.
