The next morning had come, and I was already up and about while Deku was still asleep in my bed. Yesterday was a weird day for me, and for Deku too, but I decided to dismiss it. I thought that Shigaraki would've done what Todoroki had asked, but I suppose that villain was right. Not all villains are heartless.
As I came back from my kitchen getting some coffee, I heard a ding from my phone. I went over to my desk, coffee in hand, and picked up my phone to check it. I had gotten a text, and it was from the Icy-Hot bastard himself. I set my coffee down on my desk and started texting the bastard.
I see that Shigaraki didn't dispose of you.
Why would you go that far?! You have some nerve!
Why wouldn't I? I'm simply trying to save Midoriya from you, you brute.
You involved a civilian! And you call yourself a hero?!
I am a hero, I'm Midoriya's hero. He loves me, a kind and loving man, while you are nothing but a harsh monster.
Well eat this!
I selected the camera option and took a selfie of me showcasing Deku's back, as I had claimed him last night as mine. And with consent at that. The damn bastard's getting cheeky, but it's nothing I can't handle. He's only a big that I can step on, nothing more.
I didn't realize it, but Deku had started to stir awake after I rolled up his shirt. The picture I sent to the Icy-Hot bastard shut him up, so I turned my phone off and tossed it aside, turning all of my attention to Deku. I gently lay myself down atop of him, my chest and stomach touching his back, and rested my chin in the crook of his neck. I laid a sweet kiss on his cheek, causing him to giggle and him in content.
" Morning Deku."
" Morning Kacchan..."
" You hungry?" He nodded his head. " Then I'll help you get up and get ready for the day before we eat. Sound good?" He nodded again.
I kissed him on the cheek one last time before planting another kiss on his neck before getting up from the bed. When Deku sat up on the bed, he extended his hand for me to help him up, but instead I picked him up entirely. He was shocked at first but then grew embarrassed, which I thought couldn't make this nerd any cuter.
I carried him into the bathroom and sat him down on the edge of the bathtub, starting up the water and adjusting it to the right temperature. I had given him a towel to cover his lower half before hand, so he sat there holding his hands tightly together. Upon seeing this, I knew something was wrong.
" Everything alright, Deku?"
" Huh? Oh, yeah, why?"
" You seem quiet this morning and you're doing what you do when something's on your mind."
" What do you mean? Nothing's wrong."
" Then look me in the eyes and tell me that. Look me in the eyes and tell me that you're fine, if you can't, then tell me everything."
It took him a bit but he finally formulated a response, and just as I had thought, he couldn't look me in the eyes and say that he was okay.
" What if something happens?" He finally muttered.
" Like what?"
" What if Todoroki does something that won't be redeemable? What if he does something that hurts you? What if you lose me again?!"
" First of all, if he tries anything against you again I'll beat his ass until he understands what he did was wrong. Second of all, I doubt he'd do anything too drastic, and if he does then we'll help him come back around. And third of all, I'm not going to lose you again. I can't. I won't let it happen."
After that, silence and the sound of water splashing filled the gap between us. I knew Deku would worry, and well, I am too. I'm worried about everything he had mentioned, and more. I don't want anything to happen to our classmates, that includes the damn Icy-Hot, nor Deku. I already lost him once, I won't lose him again.
I had helped Deku take his shower, cleaning him from what we did last night, and I gave him some of my clothes that he could wear for the time being before we head to school. I served him a plate of what I had cooked for us, and after that, I grabbed a smaller serving for myself before sitting down next to him at the island of the kitchen.
" Why didn't you get much?" Deku noticed the scarce amount of food on my plate before looking at his plate.
" Don't worry about it, I'm not that hungry."
" Kacchan, you need your strength. Here." It wasn't until now that I noticed that Deku was putting half of his food onto my plate. " And I don't want you complaining, alright? Just eat." He wore a small smile before eating what was left on his plate, resting his head on my shoulder.
I simply stared at the food on my plate before I started eating anything. He was right though; I need my strength for who knows what. After that stunt with Shigaraki, I can't let my guard down around Todoroki.
We finished eating and cleaned the dishes before getting ready for school and heading for the train station.
