I was relieved that school had ended since it's annoying that I already know all the answers to the questions of everything. However, I couldn't stop thinking about what I saw between Deku and Icy-Hot. I still needed to talk with him as much as I did with the damn nerd, so I went after Todoroki first. He was easy to find since he was still at his locker changing his shoes. I walked up to him and gently tapped his shoulder to get his attention.
" Hey Bakugou, it's unlike you to come up to someone so calmly. Something wrong?"
" I need to talk with you for a bit."
" What's this about?"
" It's about the damn nerd."
" Midoriya?"
" Who else?! Whatever, come on."
I waited for Todoroki to finish putting his shoe on, and once he did, he followed me to the school gate. As we stood there, I tried thinking about how I would ask him about his memories but apparently Icy-Hot wasn't really patient with me.
" So, what's this about Midoriya?"
" Before that, I have something to ask you." I waited for him to reply but he didn't so I continued, " Do you have any memories from a time ahead of now? Like, do you see anything that you feel you shouldn't?"
" What are you talking about? Have you lost it already?"
" Just listen to me! This ties into the topic about Deku, so have you seen anything that you shouldn't?"
" No. Now what's this got to do with Midoriya?"
" What I'm about to tell you might seem crazy but just hear me out. Deku killed himself, a year and three months from now, and both of us couldn't handle the loss. We got together on my plan of finding someone with a quirk for me to come back in time to fix my mistakes and to prevent him from killing himself, and now I'm here. So that's the jiff of it."
" I guess I'd help you with that, so I'll take your word on this. So, what do you plan on doing to fix the problems between you and Midoriya?"
" I was never honest with him and I never cared that he skipped school on our last year at UA, so I'll start with those two for now."
" Sounds good. Well, I have to get going, but I'll help you out if you ever need it."
" Just having someone to talk to about this is enough for me, so thank you. You know, you're a pretty chill dude so I wouldn't mind hanging with you."
" Was that supposed to be a compliment or a poorly placed joke?"
We both laughed before we went our separate ways. I didn't know why I was worrying so much, he listened to me before this so of course he'd still be the same. I smiled to myself as I walked slowly to the train station, well, before someone came up to me out of breath. When I looked towards them, I was surprised and full of worry. It was Deku, and what was worrying me was that he might've overheard what Todoroki and I had talked about. However, I didn't need to worry based on what he asked me.
" Kacchan, did you pick up the flyer for the Halloween costume party? If not, I got you one."
" Why'd you get me one?"
" I figured it's the least I could do for making you come get me this morning, of course this is hardly anything."
" It's fine, you want me to walk you home?"
" ! You don't have to do that for me, and besides, I'd owe you more than I already do."
" You don't owe me anything, but if that's what you think then I'll keep one payment in mind for later on. Anyway, let's get going, we don't want to miss the train."
" Yeah!"
Deku nodded and came to my side, holding his yellow backpack straps with a hand on either one. He's kinda cute, in a way, when he's like this. His green eyes, turned a yellow hue from the sun, glowed brightly. I had to wonder what made him kill himself that day, but I soon shook off the thought as it was bringing back bad memories.
While we were walking, I noticed that the nerd had stopped in his tracks and was looking at his feet. I turned to face him and asked him what was wrong. He replied,
" Why are you doing this?"
" Doing what?"
" Being so nice to me, after all these years, why now? What changed?"
" If I told you it'd hurt you, but I promise I'll tell you my reasons when I feel the time is right."
" Tell me now, I want to know."
He put me in a tight spot. I really didn't want to lie to him nor did I want him to know my reasons yet.
As I was trying to come up with another excuse, Kirishima came up to us in his happy and enthusiastic tone.
" Hey guys! Oh. Did I interrupt something?"
" No, we were just sorting something out. Anyway, you want to catch the train with us?" I used this opportunity to evade the situation Deku brought onto me.
" I'd love to! Now I get to ride with not only Bakugou but with Midoriya too! Sweet! Well what are we waiting for?! Let's go!"
" ... Right." Deku responded quietly.
I stayed next to the nerd just to make sure he wouldn't try anything, while Kiri led the way to the station.
The ride was noisy from all the commotion from the passengers and with Kiri's gibberish, but my mind managed to block all of that out and focus entirely on Deku. He was quiet and stared directly ahead of him, avoiding eye contact with anyone. I needed to talk to him, but it would have to wait until the Halloween party at school.
Kirishima and I walked towards my place after dropping Deku off at his place, and for some reason Kiri was quiet. Not that I minded it, but it wasn't like him to be this quiet. His behavior continued until we got to my place.
Once we reached my room, Kiri finally decided to talk to me.
" What's going on between you and Midoriya?"
" What's this about, Kiri?"
" Why are you acting like that around him? Do you like him?"
" Excuse me?!"
" You like him, don't you?"
I remained silent, but apparently that wasn't what Kirishima wanted from me because he leapt at me and pinned me to my bed.
AN: Ohhh! What do you think is going through Kiri's head? What do you think Bakugou feels towards Izuku? Well Ik all of the answers to any of your questions about the situation in this chapter. Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you in the next one!!!
