Torn Asunder
Fallen kings,
And their murdered queens,
Have taken root
In our fairytales
.
What the dreaming did,
And what ghosts they've hid,
Are ever-gone
They've been torn asunder
.
The knights went riding down from their castles on the hills
They raised their swords and brought them down upon their fleeing foes
And when the field was clear and rain fell down, they dropped to their knees on the ground
.
Their dreams
Were torn asunder
.
Ahh...! Who would've thought?
The nightmares... we've wrought
So...! It's dark again!
So...! We've strayed again!
.
From the path...
From the path...
From the path...
From the
Path...
...
.
Jekyll and Hyde,
And Bonnie and Clyde,
More true than not,
I cannot decide
.
What science did
To where I've hid,
It was ever-gone
It was torn asunder
.
Neon lights on radio hill from a UFO above
Call the troops, call the world, tell them they are here
Then as it lands on the ground, you see a balloon and the lights go out
.
Your dream
Was torn asunder
.
Ahh...! Who would've thought?
The nightmares... we've wrought
So...! It's dark again!
So...! We've strayed again!
.
From the path!
.
Last remarks
Of a dying man
From a time
When legends lived
.
What the world did
What the world did
It destroyed our dreams
Tore us asunder.
.
