Outside my Window
Holed up in my room
Barricaded in
Just me and my thoughts
Are enough to grin
May seem dark to you
But the moon gives glow
You don't need a door
When there's a window
The ceiling falls down
Into my bubble
Surrounding my bed
Walls become rubble
No longer inside
No longer alone
Out in the wild
All the unknown
Hums of wings I hear
Zipping past my ear
Chirps from mother birds
Precious eggs, she girds
Chuckles from creatures
Dark obscures features
Smells of burnt fire
Start to transpire
Yet no fear comes up
As I make my way
To someplace not home
A place known as stray
A bubble no more
Freedom to let roam
Earth is my answer
To where is my home
