Happy's hunt for the perfect picture

Happy hippo of Heartylands,

With a camera in his hands.

Set out on an adventure,

To click a perfect picture.

He walked over the hilly hills,

Angled his camera on the trees.

"Trees are good. They are the best.

Let's click these trees and end this quest."

"Click" said his camera lens,

But "woosh" went winds across the fence

And his big tiny arms fumbled

Poor Happy's picture blurred.

"Trees are not it." he said,

And continued on, where the road led.

He reached fields and looked at the sun.

Bright and yellow, shining as if it's the one.

He walked towards the sunny sun.

He picked a spot, the softest one.

"The sun is good. It's the best.

Let's click the sun and end this quest"

He lied on soft grass,slow.

His hands on camera like a pillow.

Bumble bee sat on his ears and buzzed,

Poor Happy's picture blurred.

He exclaimed "the sun is too bright,

It's too bad the picture is not right."

He sat up and dusted his knees

Ran towards the lake, with wheels on his heels.

I must now convey a fact I missed,

Only one more picture could be clicked.

For he had forgotten his camera's reel,

Left it on table as his ate his morning meal.

"The lake is such a beautiful place"

He said with a smile on his face.

"The lake is calm, it's the best

Let's click the lake and end this quest".

He angled and focused and checked the light.

He had to get this one right.

Alas! Fate had an other plan,

The lake was visited by Mr. Buffalo's clan.

The lakeside trembled,

As the big beasts assembled.

Happy's hands on button stumbled

He misclicked as he grumbled.

He returned home with a frown,

Went to his mother and broke down.

He sobbed and wailed and told his plight,

"Not even a single picture came out right."

Happy's mom waited for his tears to dry

She could never stand to see her son cry.

She took his hands on her big ones

Looked at his photos, the ruined threes.

Carefully she picked one from them

A funny one of a smiling him.

She patted his head "oh son!-"

She said," -the sweetest is this one."

"Smiles are warming, smiles are the best.

You clicked one of yours, here ends the quest.

For everything in world, spreading miles and miles,

The best things are the ones that gift smiles."

Happy hippo was glad again,

For all his efforts were not in vain.

He had won the chase,

He planted a smile on a face

He planted a smile on a face
