Just Her (Lisa X Unnamed)

"Chaey!"
       I shouted for her name as she ran to the emergency room...

"I'll be back!"
        She yelled back and waved while running away.

It's already morning, the sun is rising, it should be our out and today should be our day off, but few days ago, she had been so occupied to the point that she would sleep in the hospital dorm with the other female doctor interns.

She had multiple surgeries to attend in three days ago, she had many patients within the building to check up not regularly but frequently. She had been very busy, busier than me these days and she is already skipping meals...

"Hey."
      I flinched as a person behind me whispered right next to my ear.

I faced the person and I frowned as I recognized him. He chuckled and gave me that eyes smiling face again.

"You're not out yet?"
       He asked and I just shook my head in response.

"I'm guessing, Chaey is still busy?"
       He asked and I gave him an agreeing look.

"You'll wait for her?"
       I shrugged my shoulders as a response of 'I don't know'.

"I heard it's her boyfriend and hers anniversary today. First anniversary to be exact."
       My eyes stared at him in surprise as he informed.

"I also saw her gift on her desk, like they're planning to date but as to what I can see, she won't be able to deal with him for now."
       His eyes gazed behind me where Chaeyoung suddenly ran, passing by, going to somewhere.

"First anniversary yet she's busy. Bad timing, it is."
        I commented as my eyes followed Chaeyoung's image.

"Well, she's one of the best doctors and patients are mostly looking for you and her within this hospital. What more to expect? It just that the toxic day came at this moment."
       I laughed a little and nodded...

"There she is."
       Then my head snapped to the direction where he's looking at as he stated...

"You're going out? I still have things to do."
        Approaching us, she spoke while holding clipboards.

"Yeah, I have nothing to do, but I might bring you foods if you'll tend to skip meals again. Do you have anything to request? You're really busy, you might want to ask help from us?"
        We banter at times, we don't show too much love for each other but with the looks of her, I can't help but show how concern I am.

Her hair is tied up in a loose bun, her shoulders look stiff, her eyes are looking a bit heavy, and her lips are a bit pale.

"Umm, I..."
      She contemplated and hesitated, she sighed and I saw how her shoulders dropped down with her eyes going down on the tiled floor.

"It's our first anniversary today."
      There she confirmed, it's their first anniversary and it's disappointing her that she can't do anything but to stay at work.

"Tell him you can't go if you can't. He'll understand, I guess."
       I suggested and she looked at me with sympathetic eyes.

"He will, I am sure but of course he'll have that feeling of unfulfilled. This day is important, I made something for him and I want to give it to him."
       I internally sighed as I watch her get filled with disappointment.
