CHAPTER TWENTY
Lucy woke up in a strange room, she sat up but quickly fell back on the pillow, mind spinning.
"That wasn't such a great idea right?" A delicate voice spoke up, she turned to see a woman with long white hair pulled up into a classy bun, her soft hazel eyes were warm as she smiled gently. Lucy nodded quietly, her voice lost and her memories rushing back. Her eyes stung and she cried out all her tears, she felt as if her mind was floating as if she was looking down at herself. She did not like what she was seeing.
"Make sure to stay strong for your brother Lucy." Her mom's voice chimed softly. If her brother wasn't here who would she stay strong for?
"My name is Grandeeney, a strange name isn't it? It's a family name, you can just call me mom-"
"Mom." A voice spoke up, she looked up to see Natsu, face flushed. Grandeeney covered her mouth, hiding an amused smile.
"Alright alright, I'll go see your father." With that, the door closed and Natsu sat down beside the bed Lucy was laying in, she sat up slowly and looked at him. "My mom says inappropriate things at inappropriate times when she isn't sure how to comfort someone. You'd think she would be good at it, but my father and Wendy are better at it. I'm sorry for tha-"
"It's ok." Her voice seemed foreign to her, it was small. She hated feeling vulnerable, she had so many things to fix, she had to check if her father was alright, if Aquarius and Cancer were-
"Your father and the team you sent over there is alright. The only casualties are..." the ones that were in your house. He never finished his sentence, but she was sure that was what he was going to say. "Come on, I'll show you the shower so you can wash up and go back to sleep."
He held out a hand and Lucy took it with a nod.

Natsu was laying down on his bed, beside his room Lucy was probably asleep, but he couldn't. Why would this random Gang be focused on the Star Gang? What was there objective. He remembered Wendy's horrified face when Natsu brought in a bloody Lucy, his younger sister helped his mother wipe away the blood from her sleeping face.
Igneel was beyond pissed, he immediately called Sting, the leader of the Sabertooths. They needed the backup for whatever the hell was going on. Natsu knew better than to deny the help, this Gang was not slow at plotting things.
The door opening drove him out of his thoughts, Lucy peeked in. Natsu sat up looking at her curiously.
"Can I sleep with you for the night? I-I can't sleep." He nodded and scooted over letting her slip under the blankets, she looked up at him. "Thank you, Natsu."
"You're welcome Luce." She smiled lightly and closed her eyes, moving closer to him. Natsu was not used to this side of her, she was usually headstrong. He softly kissed her forehead and shut his eyes not noticing the small smile that found its way onto Lucy's lips.

"Lucy!" A small voice called to her, the blonde haired girl turned around to find herself in a field of flowers. The sun was bright in the blue sky and Plue happily barked jumping up and down at her feet, Luke grinned brightly up at her as Plue jumped into his arms. "Lucy let's go find mom and show her the trick we taught Plue!"
Luke quickly jumped to his feet and took Lucy's hand, they both ran to the back door with Plue following barking happily. Luke released her hand and ran up the stairs as Lucy shut the door behind them, the smell of the ocean candle filled the small mansion. Loke was talking to Jude by the staircase, Aeries beside him. When the pink haired woman saw Lucy, she smiled. Lucy quickly returned the smile and went upstairs, she was too caught up in the nostalgic scent that she bumped into someone as she reached the top stair. Two hands quickly steadied her.
"Princess please be careful." Virgo chastised her, Lucy nodded brightly.
"Thank you Virgo!" With that, she ran towards her mom's room. Luke was laying on the bed with Plue laying beside him on his back. A woman sat in front of the vanity set, sunlight shining down on her from the glass window. Her long blonde hair was down and Lucy stood there, heart thumping loudly against her ribcage.
She always saw her mom, why was she feeling so sad now? Layla turned around and smiled gently at Lucy, a tear slid down Lucy's cheek. Her mom stood up and walked over, kneeling down to face her daughter. Luke realizing his older sister was crying sat up holding Plue.
"Lucy, honey, what's the matter?" Lucy wiped her tears with both hands shaking her head, she hugged her mom tightly.
"I missed you mom, I missed you so much." She cried, tears falling. Layla hugged her daughter closer and gently stroked her daughter's hair.
"Shhh it's ok, I'm always here Lucy. Your brother, Virgo, and I will always be here for you. Even little Plue is." She cooed softly into her ear. Lucy nodded and Layla pulled away to look at her daughter. "Think carefully Lucy, you've always been the strong and smart one. When you feel like you did something wrong, try to figure out what you did and fix it."
Lucy nodded, tears still falling and her mother smiled once more and kissed her forehead.
"Don't be afraid Lucy, we're always here for you." Someone gently tapped her shoulder and she looked up to see Virgo.
"Wake up princess."
"Yeah wake up sis." Luke grinned with Plus barking happily.

Lucy woke up to see that it was still night and that Natsu had sat up and was gently shaking her arm, she sat up slowly and faced him.
"Luce are you ok, you were crying and-" Lucy hugged him tightly.
"I'm alright Natsu." She spoke up, she then looked up to him and gently kissed his cheek. "Thank you, thank you so much for helping me." The pink haired boy was stunned and his face slightly reddened.
