CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Lucy slipped on black shades, her hair pulled into a bun and her gun in its holster. She stepped into the limo waiting for her in front of the mansion. It has been 2 days since the shooting, her dad was shot straight in the head and has been in the hospital. He may not wake up from the coma he had been put in, her stepmother had been quiet. She hasn't spoken to anyone, instead, she's been locked in the room.
"Are you sure you want to do this Lucy?" Loke asked from the passenger seat, Kol sat beside her looking down at his phone lazily. Lucy merely nodded, crossing her right leg over her left leg.
"I have to do this." She was notified from Igneel that one of his men was caught at the scene acting suspiciously, his name was Crawford. She chose to have both Loke and Kol with her, the choice was personal.

Natsu stood outside of the warehouse with Gray, both of them wore their black suits. A limo pulled up, Lucy Heartfillia stepped out. Her heels blended in with the night and her golden locks looked dull compared to when he had first met her that day.
"The poor girl is running the gang without any real guidance, the news she told us after her father got put in a coma is even more of a burden." His father had told him when they were on their way to the warehouse.
"Evening Ms. Heartfillia." Gray spoke up nodding his head, she merely nodded back and walked inside. There were four men hidden on top of the warehouse, six more inside hidden and plus Lucy had her own protection. There was no way to escape nor any way to lie. Natsu felt something in his chest throb, the night Jude had gotten shot, Lucy refused to visit nor did she allow visitors to walk into her room where she had been holed up in. It wasn't until the next day when she visited her dad, she refused to talk then.
Natsu trailed behind her, Loke and another boy beside him. He undid his tie, the two men beside him stiffened.
"Why are they so tense?" He thought to himself, he caught Lucy's gaze. Her brown orbs hidden behind the dark shades on her face. She broke the contact and nodded at his father who stood in front of a room guarded by Gajeel and Erza. She walked inside, the two men followed her inside.

Loke took a deep breath as he made eye contact with Crawford, the man was beaten to the pulp, one finger missing from his right hand. Teeth shattered and a bloody smile towards Lucy, the girl not once broke her own smile. She sat down in front of him, resting her elbows on the wooden table. The air in the room grew thick as she laughed lightly, her small hands took her shades off of her face revealing her brown orbs.
"Crawford is it?" She spoke up, he didn't reply, yet his smile didn't drop. "Lovely name for a pig isn't it?" She asked and the man laughed. His double chin showing and bloody drops leaving his mouth.
"How is the hole in your dad fa-" As quick as a bee, Lucy grabbed his dark locks and his face met the table. She smiled softly as she forced him to look at her, her free hand held a small switchblade.
"I would suggest you tell me who was behind this since I very well know that you are far too smart to think of such a devious plan, refuse and I kill the one people you love."
"You don't scare me." He struggled out, Lucy only laughed lightly and shoved the blade behind his ear, the blade tore through flesh, blood leaking out and splattering on Lucy's face. It didn't once phase her, Loke then realized how much this Lucy scared him. The look on her face seemed dead as if she was accustomed to this. Like she grew used to torturing people. She threw Crawford on the floor, the man held his ear screaming colorful words. Lucy stepped over him and focused her attention on Kol.
"Now." At this Natsu and several others rushed in the room, Erza and Gajeel grabbed Kol, while three other men grabbed his own shoulders forcing them on their knees. Lucy walked in front of them, an unreadable look on her face.
"What the he-"
"I know you two work for someone else." She spoke up. Loke felt his heart clench, all this time she must have known, he looked at the floor.
"I'm disappointed in you Loke, I thought I could trust you." He couldn't look at her. "I guess I was wrong, I guess my parents were wrong as well." With that, she walked away.

"You promise you'll stay by my side Loke?" A smaller Lucy asked the taller man. It had been the day after her mother's funeral. Her father left her home with Loke, the man looked down at her and nodded holding out a pinky.
"I pinky promise my princess." He responded with a soft smile, Lucy smiled back and intertwined her small pinky with his own.
"Thank you Loke, you're my best friend you know that."
"And you are my best friend too."

Lucy slammed the door after she left the room. Her body leaning against it, she looked down at the blade in her hand. A man's blood on it, on her face. Her stomach clenched tightly and she slid to the floor. The screams of Loke echoed throughout the warehouse, it was the day she was initiated when she heard Loke calling a woman. The things he had told her were personal, she had spoken to her dad about the information and he simply waved her away.
"Loke would never do that Lucy, he's been with us for years." The trust her father had in the orange haired man left her to tears. Look where it left her father. She knew that Kol was working with Loke because she saw the two of them get into the car with a woman when she informed Igneel he had believed her.
"Are you ok?" She looked up to see the red-haired man in front of her. He held out a hand and she took it gingerly. Helping her up he brought her away from the door, away from the noise.
"Thank you for helping me." She whispered. Igneel looked at her and then looked at the door. Lucy followed his gaze to see Natsu, smiling Igneel simply nodded at her and walked into the room where Natsu had been in.
"I know I took if a bit too far with Cr-" She was brought into a hug. Natsu Dragneel never once failed to surprise her and this was an entirely new level, he pulled away gently.
"You don't have to do this alone Luce." Again with that name, she merely nodded. Natsu took something out of his pocket and pulled out a white handkerchief. He brought it to her face, wiping the blood away softly. Lucy held up her right hand and took his hand, clutching it tightly. Tears fell down her face and Natsu brought her into a tight hug allowing her to cry.
"First my mother and brother, then my dad, and now my closest friend betrayed our family. I don't know what to do Natsu, what do I do?" She cried out, Natsu merely held her tighter.
"We'll get through this together Luce." He whispered in her ear.

I added a few NaLu moments and man Lucy went crazy for a moment.
