C H A P T E R

Four Years Later

Lucy felt her body heat up from the intensity of the room, his gaze never left hers and once more their lips met. He rolled over causing her to be beneath him, her hands reached up to rest on his shoulders and she brought him down capturing his lips once more. The diamond ring on her left finger gleamed in the light peaking through their blinds and soon her hands were laced in his pink locks. His lips were slowly moving down her neck causing Lucy to rest her head against the silk pillow, his lips stops at her weak spot. His hands rubbing her sides, slowly sliding under her shirt, until a knock drew them out of their world. Natsu stopped, and Lucy traced the scar on his neck carefully. 

"Hey, we have to go you horny flame brained idiot." Gray's voice caused Lucy to stifle a laugh, making Natsu look down at her with a mischievous look. He reached down quickly to kiss her swollen lips and tore himself away from her body. 

"Stop getting your panties in a twist Ice Princess, it's not my fault you can't do the same to Juvia." Natsu shot back pulling his shirt back on, Lucy fixed herself and got up from the bed. Gray's stuttering could be heard from the room and she only shook her head as she walked towards Natsu with a teasing smile. 

"Play nice Natsu." She whispered softly as she fixed his tie. Gray's grumbling could be heard from the other side on the door and she once more tried to stifle her laughter. Natsu pouted slightly and whined.

"But Luce, he-" Lucy cut him off with a chaste kiss. 

"Be sure to be careful, I'm going to visit my family today so I might be home late." Natsu took her hand in his and looked at her with a steady expression. His brown orbs boring into her own causing her heart to flutter, after being married to Natsu Dragneel for more than a year he never failed to get her flustered. 

"Do you want me to go with you, Luce?" It was an innocent question and she could tell she was worried for her, but Lucy shook her head with a gentle smile. 

"Don't worry Natsu, I'll be fine." With that Natsu nodded, pecking her lips and opening the door to an angry Gray who pulled him downstairs. Lucy breathed in deeply and glanced at a photo frame beside their bed, it was her wedding picture. Jude Heartfillia sat in his wheelchair beside Lucy who was dressed in all white, Natsu was in a black suit beside his own father. About a month later he father died, it was painful but it was also something she had to accept. The gang was combined with Natsu's and everything was calm for now. Natsu was a good leader and Lucy was there to make sure he didn't make any mistakes - as much as she does love her husband he tends to get sidetracked. 

"Ms. Lucy, are you ready?" A young woman peeked in the room, Lucy nodded and followed her to the front where the car waited for her. As she stepped in she was reminded of her stepmother and sister, whom she hasn't heard from in over two years. It was for the best and she did receive a congratulatory card on her marriage as well as a letter in regards to her father's death. It seems as though they did care enough to keep in touch, but were scared to get close. 

The day Juvia held her close during her panic attack was the same day Lucy realized that maybe she didn't lose everything during the attack. She still had her friends and had much support from the Dragneels, when Natsu had arrived home Lucy was there. When Lucy first stepped into her home a week later, Natsu was beside her and he remained there ever since. They took back command from the neighboring gangs such as Sabertooth. She also affiliated Karen's plan, it was to gain control of the Star Gang as well as to turn the Dragons against them. Luckily Erza had figured it out after an unknown tip - to this day they have no idea who the tip was. 

The day she killed Karen was also the day she kissed Natsu and unfortunately the day Gajeel was shot. Levy hasn't quite been the same since, but the two have still remained strong. Although Gajeel isn't able to provide Levy with the one thing she has wanted, kids. 

Erza remained single and babysat for Juvia often since their four kids drove the blue-haired woman crazy at times. What was left of Lucy original family from the Star Gang had dispersed into their own paths, Aquarius had bid Lucy a farewell after Jude's death. A lot has changed, Wendy was in High School and from she has shared with Lucy, is quite popular amongst the male population to Natsu's dismay. Lisanna hasn't been heard from in a while, but the last time she had an outing with Mira, the girl was doing well. 

"Miss Lucy, we're here. at your final stop." The driver's voice interrupted her thoughts. The gravesite was in front of Lucy's eyes and yet she saw her father, mother, and Luke. 

"Thank you." With that Lucy went towards her family. to give updates on what has happened so far.

This might've been a fast ending, to be honest. 

Honestly, I've tried to finish this story but my love for this story did not overcome the block because as I read back at my draft I've realized they weren't in my memory for what I had planned out. In the original plan, I was going to kill off Natsu because he was going to sacrifice himself for Gray. 

Bros before hoes, am I right?

But I thought I put Lucy through enough, SO I was planning to kill Lucy off to spare her the pain. But then I didn't want to put Natsu through that either. So I killed off Jude last minute AFTER the wedding. A bitter ending for Lucy, but she's a Dragneel now, so she still has a family. 

Originally when I wrote this story I was about 15 or 16 and had planned for 30 chapters at least, I wanted to give more background on not only the side characters but a complex past for others. Obviously this did not happen, I hope you all don't kill me in retaliation. 

I was going to discontinue this story at first, but my sister convinced me to write a finishing chapter with a time skip. I was against this at first, but after stuffing my face with Ice cream this chapter was created.
