I vowed that I would never make Lisanna the bad guy because I'm sick of everyone making her out to be a bad person. So I hope this doesn't make you hate her - I found this to be sweet and redeemable, but we all have different opinions. 

Chapter Twelve 

   Lisanna watched as Natsu's grin grew bigger as he looked down at his locket. The white-haired girl felt her heart shatter, but nonetheless, she smiled at him. As long as he was happy, that's all that mattered to her. She excused herself and stood up, but Natsu was now greeting Igneel who walked in followed by several members, so he didn't respond to her goodbye. 

She felt Gray's stare follow her out of the room, she leaned back on the wall and clutched her chest lightly. Her heart always jumped out when he smiled, even if it wasn't directed towards her. The white-haired girl knew that his childhood promise was dear to him and she couldn't come between it- she would never dare to come between his happiness. She couldn't help but notice that Lucy had brought out a smile she hadn't even brought out even though she knew him longer. 

"Lucy is the girl." She turned around to see Gray, the raven-haired boy was standing up straight and his eyes bored into hers. She simply nodded at him and sighed happily.

"He finally found her." She gave a soft smile. Gray looked at her suspiciously, not believing that she was not hurting. 

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"Of course I am." I'm hurting so much."He looks happier doesn't he?" 

"The idiot really does, but that doesn't mean you have to be happy. It's ok to be-"

"If he's happy, so am I. Lucy is perfect for him." With that Lisanna said goodbye and walked out of the hospital. A blonde hair girl was standing in the front, a phone in her hand. 

"Lisanna." She smiled brightly and Lisanna walked over. A teasing smile making its way onto the white-haired girl's lips. 

"So Lucy, I see you're the lucky girl who caught my best friend's heart when he was a young lad." Lucy laughed lightly and shook her head trying to explain herself to her friend. Lisanna smiled - it was a genuine one.

You're a lucky girl Lucy, you'll both be happy. 

I'm still in love with you Natsu, but you're happier and I'll never ruin your happiness even if it means putting my own aside. You'll always be in my heart - even if it as my best friend.

Natsu nodded at his father who scowled him for being so reckless, it was his father's way of asking him to be more careful and to not be reckless. 

"You understand son?" Igneel asked finally, Natsu simply nodded at his father and Gray came beside him. "You too Fullbuster, you're like a son to me too." Igneel rubbed his eyes and sighed deeply. His father looked more worried and the members behind him did too, no one knew who set up the attack, but Natsu had a few ideas and so did Lucy. 

"If it weren't for Jude's daughter you'd be dead and I don't think I'd ever forgive myself if that were to happen," Igneel spoke up, he looked up at Natsu and nodded at him. "Be careful, Gray watch him closely. Two men will be outside, I have to pick up your sister." With that Igneel was out of the room leaving Natsu and Gray alone.
