The door opened and Severus went in before me, and I hesitantly followed. Before I felt someone instantly tackle me from behind and wrap their arms around my neck, a wand pointed into my cheek. "Snape! Who's this?!" I heard a screechy voice question demandingly. I froze up and tried to pry the woman's arms off my neck, as she was choking. "Get off her you insolent degenerate". Severus seethed at whomever was at my neck, and out to get me almost immediately. "The Dark Lord has chosen her. And if I say so, he's very fond of her". Severus explained and suddenly the tight tug on my neck disappeared. "We can't take risks in these times Snape". She stated and drew out in front of me. The woman truly looked like a degenerate. She had ratty hair, a sickening toothy smile, and dark eyes, whilst she had been wearing a prison suit still.
"No wonder you've been getting caught. Look at your damned clothes". Severus glared at her. "Shut up Snivellus".
My eye twitched at that. "Don't call him that". I said while glaring at the taller woman. She slowly tilted her head at me with a smirk and narrowed eyes. "Or you'll do what? Little girl. He might say the Dark Lord favors you but I can tell you he favors me more". She seethed at me in what sounded like jealousy. "Not that it matters who he favors, but I can say, I've done more for him in the last months than you probably ever have". I hissed back.

Suddenly, a big hand grabbed my wrist and forced me to turn to them. Severus. "Don't start a fight, L/n". He ordered and let his death grip on my wrist go.
Suddenly a laugh emitted from Bellatrix.
"L/n? You're saying she's a L/n?" Bellatrix looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "What's a L/n doing in the Dark Lord's army? Didn't you know her family was a big part of Dumbledore's army?" Bellatrix questioned, what?
"What?" I asked confusedly. Bellatrix laugher again. "She doesn't even know does she?!" Bellatrix bellowed a laugh again, seemingly amused.
"Know what?" I asked again more aggravated.
Severus held his finger up.
"This is not the time to tell her". He glared at Bellatrix. "No! I deserve to know! It's my family!" I argued and looked at Bellatrix with hope that she'd tell me. "Sorry little girl, Snivellus says no". Bellatrix patted my shoulder. "I don't give a shit what snivellus SAID! Tell me!" I yelled and she seemed taken aback, even Severus had wide eyes. I glared at the two of them. "I see why the Dark Lord chose her. She's got fire in those eyes". Bellatrix commenter while staring at me. "Alright. I'll tell you, but if anyone asks, you forced me to tell you". Bellatrix said and took a seat in a chair next to many book cases. I had hardly remembered this was Severus's house. Not that I cared...
I totally cared I was just in denial. But that's not what I'm focusing on.
Bellatrix cleared her throat and crossed her arms.
"You family's one of the most well known family's of the wizarding world, it has been known that every L/n has been strong, in magic, in knowledge, you name it little girl. Particularly your mother, she has done some powerful things, I went to Hogwart's with her I should know". Bellatrix chuckled and I felt enticed by her words. "It's a little strange though, almost every single L/n was a Slytherin. Well.. besides your pleb for a father, how pitiful, he was a hufflepuff. But besides the point, every pureblooded L/n like your mother always had a strong power to them". Bellatrix continued and I listened. "Your mother could blow flames out of her hand like it was nothing, and that is saying something. Wandless magic is hard as is, and your mother was amazing at it. Although your mother was weak on the inside". Bellatrix looked to the side. "She was on Dumbledore's side, she was a pitiful bitch. How terrible it is, something so strong, so powerful, yet she had to be on the other side... idiot". Bellatrix rolled her eyes and giggled before yawning. "It's funny that you're on our side, her daughter, who knows how strong you might be, just who knows?" Bellatrix finished and I looked at the ground hard. "It was told her
mother was just as strong, tell me little girl, have you ever performed something as oddly strong as that?" Bellatrix questioned curiously from her seated spot.
"W-... Well there have been a few.. questionable... I.. I need a minute". I mumbled and took a seat. "Can't believe no one told you, everyone knows the L/n family, which is also strange, because your one of the last legacies of the L/n's. Most of your ancestors were wiped out years ago by Grindelwald in the great war, strange to see you here again in another war". Bellatrix trailed off. I looked at Severus.
"Did you know?" I asked.
He looked to the side immediately, almost looking at a loss for words. "Did you?" I asked more aggressively. I looked away. "I can't.. sigh. I can't be here for this mission, the Dark Lord will have to understand that". I stated and stood to my feet while staring hard at the floor before looking around for where I placed my wand. I couldn't seem to find it until I saw Severus raise up something in his hand, and he stared at me with a raised eyebrow. "You're not going anywhere". He said with an assertive tone. "Fine. Keep it". I mumbled and went to walk towards his door. He grabbed my arm. "I don't want to use force". He murmured to me with a knowing tone. I glared at him. "Let go of me". I said and tugged a bit, but he refused to let go, his eyes only narrowed more. "Snivellus, let go". I seethed. His eyes said something to me, I know he didn't audibly say anything, but those eyes dilated in his own pain. And I realized what I'd said. I tensed up but tried to keep it together and he let go of me. "I... I... j—... Um... I'm sorry". I mumbled weakly, I covered my mouth and turned away from him. "I'll meet you later". I quickly uttered out and ran out of his house, met with the cold air and rain, But I didn't turn back, nor did I look back, I just quickly ran.
~
I didn't even know where I was, I felt like I was too far away from everything, everyone, I couldn't—
I was just running in the pouring rain, tears streaming down my cheeks, I wanted to go home— I wanted— ...
Where was home? It wasn't at Hogwart's. I had too many secrets there, and my house, with my parents? ... I hadn't lived there for so long, and the last time I did it was during a shitty summer. And I felt.. I felt so lost, so sick. I had nowhere to go. I ran into an alleyway and slide down the the concrete ground, crying hoping people would leave me alone.
My own thoughts completely draining me, surrounding me, my uniform being soaked, but I didn't care.
~
I was just sitting with my head on my knees, I didn't know how long I'd been there. Too long.
But I felt a tap on my shoulder, and I slowly and hesitantly looked up. Finding a man with blondish brown hair, a light mustache and a few scars along his face with such welcoming brown eyes, staring back at me. He wore a light brown coat and an umbrella in one of his hands. "Are you Y/n?" He asked me, I furrowed my brows and nodded in confusion to how he knew me.
"I am, who are you?" I asked curiously, but keeping it calm, seeing as he seemed trusting. "I apologize, I'm Remus Lupin, apart of the order. I'm sure you may have heard of me?" He smiled lightly at me, holding the umbrella above me and himself. I wiped my eyes of the tears and sniffled. "I have, Harry has mentioned you a few times". I said while making eye contact. He chuckled and held out his hand for me. "He speaks of you a lot, here, why don't you come into the headquarters as we can discuss whatever might be bothering you".
I grabbed his hand, and he helped me to my feet. "Oooh, and maybe get you some new clothes, your almost see threw, here come on". He took off his light brown coat and put it on my making me smile. "Thank you".
~
"So now that you're all dried off, mind telling me what's bothering you?" He tilted his head at me with a smile and I felt my cheeks heat up. "Just.. some.. I have a lot going on". I mumbled and looked at the floor, taking a sip of the tea he made me, i stopped crying at least. "We have plenty of time, and I'm here to listen". He smiled and sat across from me, looking at me with curiosity in his eyes. "Well..."
~
"I am astonished how you have stayed so strong through all of that, and you still are. Being a double agent at your age? I wouldn't even be able to do that". He chuckled with such a warm smile, I had smiled for the first time in awhile.
"I just wish I didn't have to train with him". I accidentally let myself slip out those painful words. "With who?" Remus questioned curiously. "I... well.. S-Severus...." I mumbled and looked at my feet. "Oh, harry had mentioned that. But he said you liked him?"
I paused and played with my hands. Setting the cup of tea down.
"I did.... I did". I trailed off and I felt a small lump in my throat forming once again.
"Did? Did he.. do something?" Remus continued carefully, knowing to not push it, which I found as an amiable and loving trait. "He.. i messed up, I accidentally let the dark lord into my head one time.. I mean.. thankfully, he didn't see anything much. But when we got done, he ... He called me a mudblood, and stupid..". I trailed off and looked at the wall suddenly unable to make eye contact.
Remus made a small gasp while never looking away from me. "That's.. terrible, absolutely terrible. It.. It's just so strange Y/n, I thought he might have changed after all these years". Remus wondered out loud to me. I looked at him confused and curious. "What do you mean, change? Was he like this years ago?" I looked at Remus expectantly and he sighed scooting forward to look me closer in the eye.
"Years ago, too long ago really". He then chuckled before continuing on.
"I'm an old man". He said jokingly and almost getting off topic, but for some reason, I didn't mind. "You don't look very old". I replied with a faint smile and he bit his lip while smiling bashfully. "How charming of you. Harry told me you were charming but I didn't know it was like this". He said with a smile. "Well I'm not speaking any lies Mr. Lupin, I just say what I believe".
Remus then cleared his throat and nodded no with a laugh. "We're getting off topic".
I then nodded and realized what I was saying, immediately blushing and I looked away. There is something wrong with me... sigh.
"Bu severus, long ago, he was bestfriends with Harry's mothers Lily... wonderful Lily... and well.. I don't think you knew this, but James and him didn't get along too well, so one day. They were fighting, and Lily tried to step in, and he got... just.. frustrated. So he over stepped his bound, and he called her a mudblood, they never spoke again, well.. they did, but they never were the same". Remus
explained, looking off into the distance, seemingly over-going the memories. I stared hard at the ground contemplating.
"He was in love with her". Remus said, but I remembered that when Severus let me into his head all that time ago.
"I... Severus.. was my bestfriend, he is my bestfriend.. but.. he just.. he hurt me". I said and stared at my feet in front of me. I saw Remus stand up and he pulled me to my feet, pulling me in for a tight hug. "I'm so sorry he said that to you Y/n". He said solemnly, I could hear in his voice that he meant it. And those words meant a lot to me. "Thank you Remus". I hugged back after a few seconds, and the embrace felt warmer. Soon he pulled away and our eyes met. "I'm glad you told me, it isn't good to let stuff like that build up". He said and took a seat, and I did the same. "What about you Remus, anything you have you need to get off your chest?" I asked curiously, he pondered a bit for averting his brown eyes back to me.
"Besides werewolf hair, not really". I laughed at that. "I forgot about that, Harry told me some about you, I was sad to not have had the pleasure of having you as a teacher". I said and took a sip of my tea. He chuckled. "Well now that you're a full member of the order, we'll have plenty of time
together".
I was about to make a smart remark until he tended up and looked at me. "Look at the time! It's so late!" He said and pointed at his watch.
I looked out the window and noticed. "I should get back to Hogwa... Uh... Hogwart's...". I trailed off remembering how lonely I felt there. For some reason, I didn't have a desire to go back. "You can't be going out this late, here, you can stay the night, there's a bedroom upstairs that you can have, uh, let me get you some blankets because it has nothing, and yeah". He smiled before getting up and wandering off somewhere. I quickly downed all the tea like a savage before he came back, not wanting to have left him cold un-drank tea. I hung his coat up on a rack before collecting myself, i felt around for my wand before remembering it wasn't with me. I sighed. "I can't believe he just took it from me, 'I don't want to have to use force blah blah blah blah' ". I mocked his usual tone and rolled my eyes at the thought, talking aloud to myself. I heard Remus laugh from behind me. "Still not over it? Well come on, follow me". He said and I whipped around, following him as he held several blankets. "You know we aren't in Antarctica I don't need that many blankets". I giggled. "The best deserves the best". He replied cheekily making me laugh even more. From the angle, he was quite tall and slender, maybe today wouldn't end so bad after all.
~
"So I'll wake you when morning comes, anything you might need?" Remus said from the doorway, the lights turned off. "No, but thank you for asking". I smiled whilst covered up. "And if you need anything at all, come straight to me, okay?" I nodded as he smiled from the doorway. "Goodnight Mr. Lupin". I said playfully and he nodded at me with a laugh. "Goodnight".
