Winter had slowly come around, snowy and all, I liked this time of year. During morning hours I saw a small first year Slytherin shivering, I couldn't help but feel bad. "Hey I'll be right back Malfoy". I muttered and walked away from him as he was mid-sentence. "She never listens to me!" Draco exclaimed in the background as I walked away. I walked up to the first year and took off my green and black Slytherin scarf and my gloves, giving it to them. "Thank you! Your so nice, you didn't have to!" They exclaimed holding and cherishing the garments. I smiled and just wandered back to Malfoy, it felt like the right thing to do.

Classes were going to start shortly. "You Look as pale as the snow! You're shivering like a woodpecker!" Draco exclaimed and laughed at me. "Hey Shut it! They needed it more than me!" I yelled holding back a smile, playfully pushing him. "Your gonna freeze". Draco pushed back gently smiling. "At least I don't look like the Bulgarian Pioneer Ambassador!" I teased gesturing to the amounts of fur accessories he was wearing for the winter season. He acted offended and fake cried making me laugh.

After awhile of walking the bell rang. And it struck me. "We're so late!!" I yelled covering my mouth. "That's okay, lets just skip anyway I hate that clas-" I grabbed Draco's fore arm and dashed across the Castle. I forcibly pulled him along and burst into the classroom. Everyone slowly turned their heads to us in Unison, even Snape. "Mr. Malfoy.. detention. Take your seats you two". Snape stated dryly. I cheekily smiled elbowing Draco. "And what about her?!" Draco insisted and gestured to me dramatically. "Take. Your. Seat". Snape ordered using a darker tone. I sat down happily, and Draco sat down in an annoyed manner.

Draco had just complained the whole period about detention, making me get distracted. I never could pay attention when he pesters me like this! "Now start brewing". Snape stated after explains what we were doing. The only thing I knew about today in class is that we were learning how to make Amorentia. Everything else about the potion had been blocked out by Draco!

After attempts of making it and failing and having to continually change my water in my pot from failure, i sighed and sat down. "Why don't you just raise your hand and ask for help?" Draco asked bored, he didn't even try to contribute to the class assignment. "Erm.. I.. because I can do this!" I lied to myself, I was actually just to shy to admit failure to someone like Snape. I admired him, and to redeem my failure to him just made me feel embarrassed. I stood back up and stared down at my ingredience kit unsure. I started picking out ingredience, trying to remember which ones they were supposed to be. Soon Draco raised his hand and I curiously watched. "Y/n needs help Professor!" Draco shouted, he obviously didn't believe me. I hit him in the arm, shoot! Snape was coming, act calm, act calm. I started to feel nervous. "Now Y/N, where did we start to feel lost?" Snape asked pulling up a chair and sit in it by me. "Er.. the .. ingredients Professor". I mumbled just enough for him to hear. Snape started to go threw my ingredients I had previously picked out. "For starters it's not Ashwinder Skin, It's Ashwinder Eggs". Snape moved the dusty old piece of skin and replaced it with a few marble like eggs. I nodded tensing up. "Now do you know what else is missing?" Snape leads on, testing my abilities. I played with my hands feeling dumbfounded and gazed at the ingredience kit. "I.. uhm". I started, not sure what to say, I wasn't sure what I was looking for here. Snape sighed and gave me an amused look.

For the rest of it he did most of it for me, but he did take me step by step, which was just so nice of him.

Class had ended and I stopped in front of Lockhart's desk, making him look at me. "Yes? What is it L/n?" He asked quietly. "May I be excused for the beginning of class to use the restroom?" I asked politely. He sighed and tapped his pen on the desk a few times, nodded at me. I held my books close and looked him dead in the eye for a moment. I nodded back, and walked out.
