thought I would let ya'll know, it's the fourth year if u didn't know it means it's the Goblet Of Fire year. :p

I had been just boarded off the train, Filch giving out to everyone their room number for their House Quarters, I guess everyone was forced to have a bunk mate now. I was being rowed on a boat by a staff member, Draco just happened to be on the same boat as me. Again it was rather silent. I ran my hand threw the cold water sitting close to the edge of the boat, it was ice cold but I didn't quite mind. It was refreshing. "Don't get your hand dirty now, we're nearly there". I heard Malfoy comment. I cleared my throat, his voice was a bit different. Which was well, normal I guess. I suppose I was different as well. "Water's always clean to me". I muttered. It'd been so long since I last seen Draco. I almost missed him, but it was a little late for me to go back and forgive him I think.

For the rest of the ride it was quiet. Eventually we made it to the boat house. We were all greeted by staff members. Mcgonagall stepped forward as we all were divided into four groups, of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. The first years would come in later. "Today we will be letting you all settle in, classes start next week, so for now, get to your quarters, unpack, talk with your peers, you know the bauble!" Mcgonagoll announced and gestured each house to their staff escort. I couldn't quite see over the herd of Slytherin's who our staff was, but we all began walking up the probably 500 stairs that led us to the courtyard. We were allowed first.

I eventually shoved my way threw, making it to the front of the messy line of kids, I was still a few rows back but I was close enough to the front. I could see the back of a familiar Staff's head, Black slightly wavy hair, tall and brooding, a dark aura, Severus. I don't think he knew I was here, or had he seen me. It felt rather strange, quiet, cold, and distant. Like maybe we were strangers again, since it'd been so long. It felt lonely.

"Y... Y/n, is that you? Y/n L/n? Y/N?!?!" Someone shouted in my ear. I flinched, everyone turning their heads in this direction, even Severus, coming to a stop as we walked up the stairs. The loudness and obnoxiousness of this girl-- i turned my head to see a brunette girl with yellow eyes, pale, much taller than I could probably ever achieve, and plump lips. She was smiling brightly and shook me, everyone still staring making me uncomfortable. "Uh yes hello that's me?" I stuttered confusedly. "It's me! Cassidy!" She shouted, everyone eventually started passing by us. I gasped, remembering, we knew each other too well, we did make great friends. She messaged me all summer, all year and even after that! She stuck with me the closest from Hogwart's. "Why didn't you tell me you'd come back?! Is that why you'd stopped writing to me?! To surprise me?!" She laughed and hugged me tight. I almost forgotten what she looked like, she certainly looked older, in a good way. I only laughed in response, explaining to her about my owl abandoning me for about a week or so would be too hard to explain so I just nodded.

Cassidy and I caught up, talking about our lives now and before, what happened while I was gone, I informed her about my charges being dropped. She said she had picked on Malfoy for me all last year for what he and his family had done. I only told her to be nice, while laughing of course. All the students had been forced to hang out on the courtyard due to 'technical difficulties'. I was going to try and get a chance to talk to my favorite Potions master but he had disappeared.

Every student including myself all gawked in awe and astonishment as a boat emerged from the water, sailing our way elegantly. A carriage smoothly flying towards us as well. We were all told to stay back, and leave them be, I wondered whom it was. The ministry maybe? I couldn't be too sure but they seemed to be docking at the school, for whatever unknown reason.

some hours later.

We'd all been let in the castle finally. Luckily I was paired up in a room with Cassidy and we'd both unpacked together. After that me and her had just now been hanging out in the Common Room with Brian whom was excited to see me, but still his old sinister snake self, very calm and held back, never letting himself get too caught up in emotions. Very quiet. But that's what made him himself. Cassidy had been blabbing and making all sorts of dad jokes until the common rooms door slammed open, dramatically. A gloomy figure walking in, a figure that towered over everyone, even Cassidy whom was quite tall for her age. A tall brooding, aura. Severus, the Potion's Master, Head of Slytherin. Everyones Head turned confusedly. "I'll be escorting you all down to the Great Hall, don't ask why, just listen". He ordered looking slowly around at everyone. His eyes never seemed to find mine though, I was just another in the crowd. When his eyes did end up gazing over me he didn't seem to get caught by me, or recognize me. Was I that different? Or did he forget about me? Or did he just not care about our old friendship anymore? I was overthinking it.
