It's Here!

I know... I know...

I said I wasn't going to go into a sequel of E.J.'s story and that all the horrific things he went through I am happy to leave him being okay like he was at the end of "Behind Drawn Curtains", and yet here we are...

This however is not a sequel to "Behind Drawn Curtains" although I am sure that those readers who fell in love with E.J. will see it that way. This book will not be written from the point of view of E.J., our little broken boy. In stead, this story will follow the path of Brody, a character we briefly meet at the very end of "Behind Drawn Curtains" who has been walking around in my mind ever since I put him down on paper for the first time.

As always... This won't be your typical love story. If you want one of those please read "One Story Long" which is full of fluff. I loved writing it, but this story is once again one of awareness. One that should give goosebumps rather than a fuzzy feeling inside. I also cannot guarantee that there won't be tears.

Thanks to each and every reader here on Wattpad, "Behind Drawn Curtains" is being read and I think doing very well considering the very heavy subject of rape on every other page, and with the help of Wattpad's users I have been able to assemble a list of helpline numbers from right over the world for someone in E.J.'s position. This time we are delving into depression and PTSD and I hope I can count on every single one of you again to help me by compiling a similar list as I write this book. It would be so helpful... Someone out there might need it and find the help they require and desperately need before attempting to take their own life. It wasn't that long ago, in 2015 that a 12 year old girl took her life while streaming it live over social media. Let's be a part of the fight to prevent this from ever happening again. As always I will give all the statistics at the end of this story, making sure my research is done well and as comprehensive as possible. But as always I will need your help. To get the story out there. To help me help others.

I don't just want to write a story. I want to write one that will save a life. Only one. That's all I ask for. I don't write just for myself. I would like to write for others. I want to write for those in need. Which is the real reason why everything is on Wattpad and not off to a publisher or self-published on Amazon. I want to write for each of you and if I can I would like to do it for free. But if it is possible and within your reach, please help me get these stories out there. Help me to reach more people. Not just this work, but also "Behind Drawn Curtains" as well as "Out In The Wind" where I address homelessness and sex trafficking. Please, if you can, vote, put the works in your reading lists, share them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, parents, friends, and anybody who you think might need help or may find the inspiration to help others from these stories. Let's stand united and get the word out to the world. We will not sit still any longer. We will not be abused or let depression overtake us, wiping out a generation of sensitive, yet strong souls. We are here. And we are now. And we can make the difference today!

Once again, thank you for all the love and support I have received over the last few years of being here on Wattpad. From my very first book (which was badly written and my first ever writings in English), to the latest where I try to address real world issues by writing them into fiction stories.

Remember; there might not be something like the Hollywood Disney version of a fairy tale happy ending, but there are fairy godmothers, normal people like each of us that can make someone's life better, and with enough hope, maybe we will find one of them too that will make our lives just a little bit better as well.

All my love as always,

C.A. Kerst
